Hurts for ARich (poll)

Postby PhillySpecial » Sat Oct 14, 2023 3:21 pm

I am contending and trading with a rebuilder. I own the Richardson side in a SF.
10 Team. SF PPR. 25 player roster. 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 2 Flex, 1 SF, 1D
QB - Jalen Hurts. Dak Prescott. Justin Herbert. Geno Smith.
RB - Saquon Barkley. Austin Ekeler. Tony Pollard. Tyjae Sharp. Jaylen Warren. Jerome Ford. Khalil Herbert.
WR - AJ Brown. Amon Ra St Brown. DJ Moore. Chris Godwin. Keenan Allen. Amari Cooper. Curtis Samuel. Adam Thielen.
TE - Evan Engram. Dallas Goedert. Darren Waller.

2024, 2025, 2026 - no firsts, no seconds, numerous 3rds, 4ths, 5ths.

This is my first year of SF and not too sure on the values yet. Seems expensive for Hurts especially with the top 5 first in 2024.

For me it is Hurts side right now.
I would need that 24 1st to be top 3 to swing me over to ARich side today.

Right now, Hurts is a top 2-3 QB in SF.
Hurts is what everyone hopes that ARich can be, but though ARich has put up good fantasy numbers, his real life numbers are not as good.

Sure, it's only been 5 games, I get that, but now he is out again with injury for the 2nd time in 5 weeks, and this time the injury timeout is unknown.

So ARich side has the potential to be better, but still has potential to be worse too, IMO.

I’d hold Arich side.. it gives a bunch of outs to be the winning side

Roll with Geno. Getting a bunch of IR stuff outside of Hurts does nothing. I don't like the idea of giving up that first. DK is a starter for you, and losing him drops your WR scoring, despite Hurts boosting your QB scoring. I just don't like it. A Rich will be back, and that first, is a really good piece to win later, as well as now. DK is in his prime, Diontae seems to be in decline, and really isn't a great talent.

It's pricey if the 1st ends up early on value, but Richardson has a long way to go to be in Hurts league in dynasty. Two injuries already and heading to IR...major red flags. He is fair from polished anyway before the early injuries.

I would see if a different secondary piece is an option though or tone down your give side a bit.

My thoughts exactly. DK on the ARich and 1st side was a non starter for me

Hurts is a significant upgrade to AR. While pricey, I can see why someone would ask for this in return.

To me this deal comes down to two things:
How early is that first? If it's looking likely to be top-3, this is too expensive by a good bit. If it's later than that, less so. I generally dislike trying to predict where picks land but we are now fairly deep in to the season and can start to speculate w/ some accuracy.

DK - some folks just don't like him. I find that the DLF community (esp. the DLF analysts) are higher on DK than the broader FF world. If you are a DK skeptic, then this deal looks more attractive. The drop to Diontae may not be that huge.

I'm not doing this deal as is, but I get it.

This is how I feel about Richardson.

If competing, I'd take Hurts side. But I'd try to adjust trade a little if possible.

Any new thoughts now that ARich is out for the season? The other owner would take Deebo over DK.

I think I’d have to do it with Deebo in instead. He has trouble staying on the field as well and is older. The upgrade to Hurts and having him and Herbert would be worth it, even in a 10-team SF.

I think you can survive with Geno, but to pair Hurts with Herbert would be great long term. I think to trade away a unproven young qb who is done for the year and land a more proven qb on a much more stable offense is big. I'd go for it. I'm also not a fan of ARich, he may be good for fantasy for a few year, but I'm not sure he will make it as a passer in the NFL.
