Doug Martin owners

As an owner of Martin, I have been increasingly weary of keeping him. The backfield situation looks to be fairly crowded, and that O line may be very very bad this year. I went out of my way his rookie year to draft him and still like Martin a lot, but I am really thinking lately I need to move him now.

Any other Martin owners seeing this or do I need to calm down. Help talk me off the ledge.

I refuse to get rid of Martin. I still believe in him.

I would not trade Martin for any of those RBs. When the bullets start flying and real football is being played, Martin is going to see a minimum of 60% of the snaps and RB touches. I personally believe he'll be closer to 70%, and will exceed 300 touches this season.

I would entertain for Bell if you can get something added to it. But I think people are overreacting on Martin. He should still see bulk of work and if anything being spelled by Sims will help him stay fresher and play later into his career. I'm most worried about their O-line though. It looked pretty bad in their first pre-season game. It's still early so hopefully they work out the kinks.

Keep in mind he was considered by some, this time last year, as the top dynasty back.

I've had Doug since I drafted him and this is my mentality too. If I sold low and he blew up this season I'd give myself a serious kick in the bleep. Especially if you consider what Doug would have fetched us after year 1. Ugh.

Just gotta hope for the best.

Doug runs very hard, but his ave per carry is low. When he got hurt, and the other RBs did better, I got worried.

Then the Bucs go out and draft Sims..... so I bailed. Basically got Alshon Jeffery instead.

I made this trade about a month and a half ago. This is also a salary cap league FYI.

I too became weary of Martin based on the crowded backfield and their lack of O-line. I love Martin's talent, but the situation scares me especially with Lovie Smith taking over. I think Sims is going to eat away at Martin's workload, whereas Bell is going to be a workhorse for Pitt. Bell also dropped some weight which should play well with his speed.

I traded Demarco Murray+ for Martin a few months ago and my only regret is not waiting until Martin's value to drop as low as it is now.

I think it's a tough time to be a Martin owner right now. So many uncertainties right now, new coach, a RB drafted to compete for time, poor OL, the injuries. It's tough to get top dollar for him today. You're better off waiting for the season and once he has a couple of good games, hold and hope he's back to his old self or sell.

you guys are nuts!!! there is no way you sell this guy. he's a hold, and a hold while smiling...if you ask me. as a maritn owner, i see solid offers comming in, none worth making a deal though. unless you see something what wows you...you dont move him.

I am very concerned with Martin right now. RBBC, O-line looks putrid, suspect QB play = tough time for Martin.

I think the concerns are real, but I'm not ready to jump ship on him. I think the RBBC talks have been blown out of proportion. Will he see 325-350 carries like he did/projected under Shiano? Probably not, but very few RBs see that kind of workload in the NFL anyways. I'm more concerned with the O-line and QB play than I am Martin's workload. If you aren't buying Martin, then he's a hold IMO. If you can get true top 6-7 dynasty RB value out of him, then I'd be ok with selling him.

I own Martin in one league. Gave Sankey/Woods/2nd for him a few weeks ago. I have Lacy as my projected RB1 in that league, so I don't feel as pressured by Martin's situation and unknowns. As my RB2, I have no problem with just seeing how this plays out.
