This one is a blockbuster and pretty interesting.
I was offered Charles, Kendall Wright, Knile Davis, Jared Cook, 2.10, 3.05
for
1.01, 1.03, 1.06, 1.09.
I know there's a lot of ways to look at this, and I'd be interested to hear everyone's thoughts.

Id rather keep the picks, Charles is the only exciting player and he is an older Rb with maybe 2 years of top production left. Rather draft Watkins and 3 other young players and try my luck.

Need a little bit of context I think. I actually think it's close enough where team makeup has a big impact, but id take the JC side. Here's how I look at it.
JC>1.1,1.3
All the other stuff > 1.6, 1.9

For your team, it's an easy no. You're not close to winning anything, keep the picks

Agreed. Charles is the only name that intrigues me. Four 1st rounders in this loaded draft is the winner by far.KingsKing wrote:Id rather keep the picks, Charles is the only exciting player and he is an older Rb with maybe 2 years of top production left. Yeah, I agree with this, your smack dab in the middle of a rebuild, and those picks are the perfect assets to get it done quick. If you trade for Charles you might win a few more games next year but you still wouldn't sniff a championship and your team would be just as bad off a year or two from now. Keeping the picks allows you to add four excellent young talents that your team desperately needs.auggiedoggies wrote:For your team, it's an easy no. For a competitive team, I think this is actually a pretty good deal...
Charles = 1.01, 1.03, 1.09
Wright = 1.06
Other stuff > Free!!
For your team, though, keep the picks. You're more than Charles and Wright away from being competitive.

I would keep the picks
Not many players (even charles is worth two top 3 rookie picks)
Granted I think it is an even deal...
But the 1.06 and 1.09 in this draft isn't even close to the trash your being offered for it.
For players perspective sake will just call those players Kelvin Benjamin and Eric Ebron for example.
Not worth what you are being offered.

Re: 1.01, 1.03, 1.06, 1.09 for Charles, Wright+
I'm a bit surprised at the feedback since picks are generally lottery tickets (within reason) and this is for Charles plus a valuable young WR in Wright. Is the reasoning just a poor fit with my team?
Any other opinions?

Everybody is right, keep the picks. Just play your cards right and don't impulse anything while putting together a solid team.Make It Rain wrote:Any other opinions?

Yes...the trade is a poor fit for your team. You still wouldn't have a reliable RB2. DT and Wright would be nice at WR but you don't have a #3 behind them...you're going to need to wait for your tight ends to develop, and Wilson is not a championship QB (at least in fantasyland). Keep those picks and draft all WRs...and maybe Ebron...let them grow over the next few years and then trade 1-2 of them off for RBs when you're ready to make your run.Make It Rain wrote:I'm a bit surprised at the feedback since picks are generally lottery tickets (within reason) and this is for Charles plus a valuable young WR in Wright. Re: 1.01, 1.03, 1.06, 1.09 for Charles, Wright+
you have a chance to win if you acquire CHarles and another suitable RB tho and you can still get some gems with those late round picks, K wright is solid if PPR But you can get 4 good players this season and beyond and have a lot of youth if you dont, So since you would still have to get another RB too have a chacne i prob woldnt wan to include all 4 1st..
