JT and a 25 1st for Bijan?

Postby Viking386 » Mon May 13, 2024 6:04 am

Just received an offer of Bijan for my JT and a 25 1st.

My team just won the title last year and my starting roster is

QB- Goff
RB- JT
RB- Najee Harris
WR- Lamb
WR- AJB
WR- Kupp
TE- Engram
FLEX- Godwin
FLEX- Stevenson
FLEX- Chubb/Boyd/Zeke
SF- Wilson/Carr

This team is in weird spot where they should contend again but things could easily fall off with some of the older vets I have here. Especially with my QB situation where I wouldn't be shocked if Wilson and Carr lose their jobs either after this season or even down the stretch of this season. JT is only 25 but the injuries have been a concern and I'm curious to what his game will look like with Richardson back there stealing a lot of the goal line work.

Exactly why I'm passing and holding onto JT and the 1st.

I wish I had Bijan so I could sell him for JT and a 1st

I get the temptation and I guess it's reasonable in a vacuum, but the only way I'm making that trade is if I have an absolute juggernaut of a team where I would value the elite asset scarcity and there's little upside left in my future 1st

To me, the gap between Bijan and JT isn't a 1st and if it is, I'm not willing to do that. Hold JT.

QB: Patrick Mahomes, Jordan Love
RB: Jonathan Taylor, Kyren Williams, Devon Achane, Derrick Henry, Jaylen Warren

Agreed. I get why the Bijan manager would want that. I wouldn't see the point of giving up Bijan for JT+2nd. One of those weird spots where a base 1st is too much, but a base 2nd is too little (IMO). That's why I wouldn't do this deal unless the 1st is all but guaranteed late, and OP expressed that that is not the case.

In a Superflex start 11 I want the jt side by a decent margin here.

id prob do this even though in theory it doesnt make sense. i think bijan is about to boom big time and blow last years production out of the water and i think JT is a declining asset that if he has a slow start or any type of injury in 2024 he will be a very picky asset meaning that only select teams with select builds and goals will have interest (thats not to say he cant rise again but the risk of a plummet is mighty in my opinion). bijan could tear his acl week 2 nd still be valued as a top 5 option.
team 1
12 team, 1 pt for 4 rec, 0.1 per rush
1qb, 3 rb, 4 wr, te, k, 4 idp
Dak , Herbert
Achane, Breece Hall, KW3Kyren,Ford, Miller, Spiller, z evans, singletary
J Jefferson, Diggs, DK, D Smith Puka, C Watson, E Moore
Njoku , HH, Engram

2024 picks
1,3,4,5,5,6,7 (all late mostly)

team 2
12 team .5ppr
qb, 2 rb, 2 wr, te, flx,flx,
Fields, Dak
Ford,Mixon, Javonte, Mostert, Chubb, Spears
Hopkins, Evans, g Wilson Mingo, shaheed, Jamo
Kelce,McBride, Chig,

1,2,3,3,5

team 3
14 team sf, even scoring idp to offense (rb scores highly too)
Josh Allen, A Rich, Foles, Rudolph
Bijan, Charbs, Spears, Ebner
J Williams, G Wilson, C Watson, Flowers, J Addison, Tillman
Kincaid, Kolar, Ruckert, Fergeson

Kenny Clark, josh allen, jaelen phillips, felix a-u and a bunch of fluff and rookie fliers at idp

That's a great point. But JT + 1st in 2025 is also insulated.

If JT rocks, then you're happy keeping him + 1st.
If JT is terrible, odds are that the 1st in 2025 will be pretty early. Maybe not so early that you get a Bijan-level player. But it's a likely strong RB class coming out.

So while I agree with you that Bijan's value is safe almost regardless of what happens (unlike JT's), the potentially early 1st is, too.

Give me JT & the 1st. Next years RB class is gonna be loaded so I’d stay put, and grab another RB next year

I know Bijan is younger but on paper it’s sort of like

Bijan = JT

Pass on losing a 1st

Haven’t seen this exact trade , but I saw bijan moved for 1.08 and a 25 first . And being it’s Superflex that 1.08 has more value
