Pitts and 1.10 for Andrews?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Pitts and 1.10 for Andrews?

Postby Konehead94 » Mon Jan 08, 2024 3:14 pm

12t 1QB Full PPR

Would you move the 1.10 and Kyle Pitts for Andrews? I also have Lamar as my qb, as well as the 1.3 and 1.8. The recent news of smiths firing is making me hesitant to pull the trigger. Thanks!
Qb: Dak, Tua, Deshaun Watson, Daniel Jones , heinecke

Rb: Saquon, Gibson, mostert, rojo, chase Edmonds,
Lynn Bowden, Michael Carter

Wr: Amari Cooper, Thielen, Keenan Allen, diontae Johnson, Robert woods, , Anthony Miller

TE: Fant, Herndon, Allie-Cox

The hope is that Pitts makes a jump, but that is a bigger gamble than Andrews being a top tier TE the next handful of years. If you are an out and out contender, Andrews easily for me on price. If you are looking a couple years out, I would see the Pitts + pick side but even still, that side is the bigger gamble.

With Smith gone, Pitts outlook is brighter. There is no way that the next regime could misuse him again can they? I would agree that Andrews is the safer now side but its nice to think about the sun finally shining on Pitts

To me this depends on where your team is competitive wise. Smith might be gone but Ridder/Hineke is not. Atlanta outside of a coach and QB is a pretty good team. I could see them pursuing a Cousins, Mayfield, and then it changes Pitts prospects.
Team 1: 16 Team
QB's: Fields, Wentz,
RB: D. Harris, D. Montgomery, Kendre M.
WR: Chase, AJ Brown, Aiyuk, Bateman
TE: Waller, J. Woods, Dulich, Mayer

WR: Godwin, JSN, Pittman, Pickens, Toney, DP Jones, S Moore
TE: Andrews, Fant, Likely
(2024) 1.03, 2.03, 3.03
(2025) Top 3 1st, my 1st

Team 3 SF, TEP, Start 11 ppr
QB: AR, Watson, Young, Levis
RB: ETN, Walker, Pierce, Akers, Pacheco, Herbert, Warren, Kelley
WR: G. Wilson, Higgins, Godwin, Kirk, Bateman, Collins, Doubs, Chark, Shaheed,

Andrews, easily.

The fact this is a 1qb league makes it even more lopsided in favor of Andrews because this is almost a straight up swap of TEs. That 1.10 is going to be such a crap shoot of a pick, and its value isn't close to bridging the gap between Andrews and Pitts for a contender.

I admit that for Pitts truthers this is probably a tough decision. Based purely on the numbers, this is easily Andrews

Agreed. I wouldn’t blame those wanting Andrews, but outside the outlier season he’s been more in the 700-850 yard range. I will say he scores a good bit, so that helps. But I don’t expect his yardage to be so much more than Pitts that I’d do this.

But I’ve been wrong many times before. Haha

Pitts side for me. I'll take a shot with the 1.10 this year in a class I really like. Also, I don't think Likely is going to sit back and watch Andrews soak up as many targets as he has previously. At some point (sooner than later I think), the Ravens will move on to Likely and I'm not sure Andrews dominates like he has unless he goes somewhere where he gets a ton of volume (KC would be fun, MIA would not as examples).

A little too pricey for me. If it was the ~2.05 then probably.
