Penny and Swift are going to go OFF tonight against the Vikings.

I honestly think the Eagles made Penny inactive and didn't give Swift a lot of carries in week 1 because they intend to methodically manage the health of their RB room throughout the season. With a short week, I believe the intention all along was to have Penny and Swift active and fresh for THIS game. Then they get a long week to rest. Each of them get 15 or so carries. You heard it here first! Book it!

I’m probably alone on an island here but I really think Swift will find a way to stay healthier with the Eagles. That Lions slit-film turf was an absolute nightmare and has taken many victims. Edelman joked about wanting to sue the Lions for how dangerous it was. Of course, they finally changed it to a better turf system this season. I think playing home games on grass in Philly will be a big help and keep him upright. Maybe it’s just me projecting my hopes and dreams .

I don’t think Swift goes near 15 carries unless Penny is a non-factor. Its kind of either/or for me. Either they like Penny’s rushing and he takes over or they like Swift’s all around game and he is the RB1 for a week. Week 1 usage would suggest a lot of Swift is coming, but that’s also what the coaches and players are saying, so I expect the opposite.
