Hot WW Moves for Week 2

Postby wickerkat1212 » Mon Sep 11, 2023 10:31 am

So, who are you targeting on the WW for week two? Some ideas:

• McLaughlin if he's still there
• Puka as well, grab him
• TE depth maybe Gray and Likely, but I'm passing mostly
• Hurst if you need a TE
• Demario Douglas maybe

Thoughts?

Justice Hill looks like he might have a fair bit of opportunity coming his way. Didn't exactly look explosive out there, but got goal line carries plus 3 of their 21 targets were to Dobbins so it looks like throwing to RBs is going to be at least marginally above the basically 0 it was the last few years there.
12 team, 1 QB, .5 PPR start 1 QB/1RB/1WR/1TE/5FLX

QB: Lamar, Cousins
RB: Bijan, Gibbs, Kyren, Montgomery, Z Moss, G Edwards, Allgeier
WR: Davante, Aiyuk, Devonta, Rashee, C Kirk, Mims, E Moore
TE: Laporta, Hockenson, Waller, Taysom

K Williams - if he is available - probably main one here
R. Shaheed - seems like a highly effective WR per target.
R. Rice - since ESPN has a 9% rostered
A. Trautman - seems like he is favored from coaches
I like your Douglas call and Hurst depending on league size and bench depth.
10 team Dynasty Superflex, 1 PPR, 20 + 3 IR player roster

QB: Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen
RB: Nick Chubb, J.K. Dobbins, Travis Etienne, Rhamondre Stevenson, Rachaad White, Khalil Herbert, Tank Bigsby, Jaylen Warren, Jerome Ford, Kyren Williams, Tank Bigsby
WR: Amari Cooper, CeeDee Lamb, Ja’Marr Chase, Calvin Ridley, Tank Dell
TE:T.J. Hockenson, Trey McBride, Jake Ferguson

Most of the guys mentioned should already be rostered in any league with reasonable bench sizes.

A few likely owned in very few leagues, and are less obvious candidates others might pass over:

Durham Smythe - seemed to have some good passing game involvement and comes after offseason reports suggesting as much
Keaton Mitchell - on IR right now. Once he comes back, this kid can run and the depth chart can be climbed.
Emari Demarcado - the cardinals are going to be bad. Won't be surprised at all if Conner is traded.
Jake Bobo - seahawks love this kid. Lockett is already banged up after week 1.
orphan rebuild- 3 superflex, nerfed QB scoring 0.5/1/1.5 wr/rb/te PPR
QB: Hurts, Dobbs, Lance, Huntley, Bagent
RB: Swift, Kamara, Sanders, K. Mitchell, Foreman, CEH, Dowdle, Demercado
WR: Lamb, AJB, DK, Hollywood, Jakobi, Lazard, Boyd, Shaheed, Douglas
TE: Chig, Juwan, Conklin, Taysom, Smythe
Picks: 3 2024 2nds

rebuild 2: 1QB PPR
QB: Richardson, Pickett, Mayfield
RB: Achane, E Mitchell, Demercado
WR: Chase, Addison, QJ, J Palmer, Wan'Dale, Claypool, Douglas, Metchie
TE: Kittle, Mayer, Otton, Ferguson
Picks: 3 2024 1sts, 2 2024 2nds

I would change the commentary to say "seems like he is the best TE in Denver."

The fantasy community's love affair with Dulcich should be over by now. Just like Fant before him, there is no magic Denver TE formula. A little athleticism and a couple of highlight catches does not equal the next great young TE.

Right now, Trautman is the best TE in Denver by a wide margin. It's Trautman who is going to receive the majority of the snaps and targets. Anyone holding on to the Dulchich dream and continuing to make excuses is going to keep wasting a roster spot on a guy who is simply not very good.

It's time to move on.

I thought everyone else got way too high on Dulcich this offseason too, but it's extremely reductive to reduce the pro-Dulcich case going into this seasons as a little athleticism and a couple highlight catches. Dulcich had more 150 more receiving yards in 10 games as a rookie than Trautman had in the best of his first three seasons, he averaged more targets per game than the now forever superior Trautman had yesterday. Only 3 rookie TEs in the last 20 years have had a better Yds/Game than Dulcich had. He was a TE1 in 5 of his 10 games!

I thought all along he was a longshot to become a real needle mover and felt like people got carried away too, but I don't think it's fair to act like the optimistic case was just conjured out of nothing

Trautman is a retread who Payton is comfortable with. I can't get behind this narrative at any level. Dulchich is still the TE in Denver I would prefer to own
I am just a guy sharing some thoughts

Let someone else waste time and money on Z Wilson. Then sit back and laugh.

As crazy as it sounds, could Aaron be the key to unlocking the Zack attack? I'm putting in a claim.

Yeah if Zach has sat behind him and learned for two years. This early? No chance. He's still a mess. His footwork is brutal. He's inaccurate. He can't throw WRs open. This is the worst thing for Wilson, imo.

Depends on who you have to drop. If you have an open roster space, I'd go after Tutu Atwell with a small bid.
Not all that counts can be counted. Not all that can be counted counts.

I’d much rather have Shaheed than Tutu, personally. He’s been good since his rookie year last season.
