Saquon Value

Postby foreleft08 » Tue Nov 29, 2022 6:24 am

What is Saquon's value going forward? Is he someone you are trying to get off high or holding as one of the 'outlier' guys who is elite for longer than average? I currently hold him and am a middle of the road playoff contender right now. Have been decimated by injuries, but there's a real possibility I miss the playoffs due to remaining schedule. I have no picks and not much youth at RB (team 1 in sig). Have 3 offers on the table. Am I better off holding and riding it out or move for one of the following deals?

Offer 1:
Give: Saquon
Get: Etienne and '25 2nd

I think you're right to move on from Barkley. Definite no to offer #3. I'm not too impressed with offer #2. If you are dead-set on moving Barkley and can't get anything else, then maybe I'd do that second one. But that's not the case here. Long-term, I like Etienne better than Barkley, so I consider this a win. My gut is that Barkley's value might still be a little higher than what you're getting back in offer #1, so I'd try to get something else added and/or an earlier pick. That being said, I'm good with the first offer.

I think the Etienne deal is closer than the other two but I would be looking for a different piece than a 2nd multiple years out. Does that manager have any decent young WRs you could add and sub out the 2nd?

He's been pretty stingy as he is high on Etienne. His WR's are Higgins, AJB, McLaurin, Hollywood, Deebo, Dionate, London, and Skyy

Maybe get him to add Skyy. Otherwise I'd try to get London as a buy low instead of the 2nd.

I can understand being high on Etienne as well. I would still push for a different piece than a 2nd three years out. Seems like a pretty worthless add.

He won't give ETN and a 1st. He's very high on picks and won't do both. Problem is with my Saquon piece our league is separated into contenders and rebuilders. Really no middle ground. So, all contenders have older pieces and not much for picks (besides that guy). None of the rebuilders want Saquon. So, I'm in a weird place of trying to get what I can for him but also don't want to give him away.

Barkley’s value is as high as it’s been in years?

Not trading Barkley for ETN and a 2nd; also don’t like ETN long term and think he’ll continue to get injured and at least be in a timeshare to keep him healthy.

2.5 firsts minimum for me, and one has to be very early.
