2022 Week 5

Postby Shcritters » Wed Oct 05, 2022 9:31 pm

Alright, here we go! Who’s excited for TNF? Wanting to see if the DEN passing game takes a step forward… have to believe that some of this is new QB/new HC/new playbook and that it will improve… but maybe that’s me being hopeful as a Sutton/Jeudy owner.

More TDs or fumbles?

If Melvin Gordon plays I’m going fumbles

Has Gordon looked healthy & fast this year? I've added Mike Boone where I can just in case Gordon doesn't get the job done.

The Latavius signing sure muddies the waters in Denver. I grabbed Boone where I could prior to the news. Now I'm not sure that's going to be all that useful. We'll just have to see how this shakes out over the next few weeks.
14 Team, No-PPR, 20 Man Roster, TD Heavy, TD = 6, FG = 3, Start: QB, 2RB, 2WR, TE, Flex, K, D

RB: J. Mixon, N. Chubb, A. Dillon, J. Cook, K. Mitchell, J. McLaughlin, Z. Evans
WR: J. Chase, C. Godwin, D. Johnson, J. Reed, C. Tillman
TE: TJ Hockenson, D. Njoku, B. Jordan

14 Team, .5 PPR, 18 Man Roster, Rush/Rec TD = 6, Pass TD = 4, FG = 3, Start: QB, 2RB, 2WR, TE, Flex, K, D
QB: L. Jackson, T. Tagovailoa
RB: B. Robinson, K. Walker, R. Stevenson, K. Herbertl
WR: C. Olave, T. Higgins, B. Aiyuk, N. Collins, Z. Flowers, M. Mims
TE: K. Pitts, D. Njoku

I think Murray still has some juice. Boone has never done much of anything so I think it would be weird if they try to rely on him getting 10 or 15 touches. They brought Murray in and I think Gordon gets the load. If he's gets benched/hurt, Murray slides in to be the starter. My .02

Latavius was an in-season free agent for a reason. Denver resigned Gordon for good money to be their RB1b for a reason. Mike Boone is Mike Boone for a reason. This game has 20+touches for Gordon all over it.

In the three 2021 games in which Gordon received 19 or more touches, he got 100+ yards and/or a TD. I expect the same tonight.

Denver is such a mess. But Indy may be even worse.

Murray out tonight so looking like Gordon's opportunity. If he falters though, I think Murray is the one to own afterwards. But you'd have to be desperate to start him

If the Broncos like Murray better than Boone, why wasn't Murray added til just this week, whereas Boone has been on the team since March of 2021? I think Boone has the edge.

Javonte and JT were the biggest reasons to bother watching this game, and now they're both out. Probably skipping this one, likely going to be an ugly game.

As a Colts fan, how is the Indy defense this year?
