For a regular team needing 2-5 breaks to try to become a contender, I'd say hold the pick. For a team that is already a true contender, it's worth the sizeable gamble on health. If CMC remains healthy, he's one of the biggest difference makers in fantasy. And there's no one on the roster that's going to command significant touches from him.
The only caveat I have is, if this is for team in your sig, that team doesn't really need another RB. Adding CMC means you'll regularly be benching one of Chubb/Mixon/Najee/Higgins/Allen. If Carolina cuts CMC's historic workload by 10-20% as is rumored, his 2022 stats may not be significantly higher than any of those guys. And if they score approximately in CMC's range, you will have wasted the pick you trade to acquire him. The good news is you'll probably be able to trade Chubb or Mixon in-season for a slightly higher return, so you can recoup you draft capital that way.
