Kittle and a 23 1st for Pitts?

Postby Viking386 » Fri Jul 22, 2022 9:43 am

For team in signature. The 23 1st will probably be 4-6 range if I had to guess as of now. Do you guys think Pitts is worth the deal or just hold what I have?

I would take Pitts. In my opinion you have to worry about two things with Kittle, 1) getting hurt and 2) what does his targets look like with Lance as the starter. It just seems like Pitts will see more targets in a bad offense, and yes I realize London could cut into Pitts' target share, but I am still going with Pitts.

Seems pricey to me but all Pitts deals are pricey. I would lean holding here but I understand the want to get Pitts and know that you have him locked in. I think the 2023 1st will be worth a ton come next offseason.

Kittle is 28 and has plenty of good years left. I like Pitts, but I’m not giving up Kittle AND a mid-round first in an absolutely loaded 2023 draft. And as far as the poster worried about Trey Lance, young guys learn to rely on the TE. If that first hits, you’re going to wish you hadn’t made the deal.

I think swapping a 1st for an extra 6-7 years of eelite te production seems reasonable.

Yeah I haven’t made the deal, I’m too high on next years class to do it I think. The first I have is too valuable. His team isn’t very good at all

I think Kittle will score more than Pitts this year and next year at least ... if Kittle remains healthy.

Overall, I think the price is more than Pitts is going to produce. But I'm not super high on Pitts and I don't see the value in trading one T5TE for another and paying a pretty high 1st to make it happen. However, if you are very high on Pitts and he's your guy, that is the going rate for him. So, yes an overpay but not less than what he will cost. It's the cost of doing business at the Pitts emporium.

This is kind of where I am. Overall, the responses seem to indicate it’s a reasonable deal.

Atlanta is going to be terrible and should land a top QB next year. Weigh that potential versus whatever you believe of Lance.

Regardless of ones view on Kittle long term, that is a pretty cheap price for the Unicorn that is Pitts. He should be a plug and play starter for the next 10 years.
