Big QB trade package (Deal Done)

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Big QB trade package (Deal Done)

Postby Stone2987 » Sat Jun 25, 2022 12:49 pm

(Update in post below)

Team in sig, 10 team SF looking to make a big move to solidify a 2nd qb. Was able to win last year with Dak and rotating Darnold, Wentz and Tua. Moved Wentz in a trade for Zach Wilson to give myself another potential high upside starter but don’t love my options. My team is clearly win now with my backs and I feel like an elite 2nd qb makes me the clear favorite.

Would a package of Tua, Mooney/Juju, 2.07 and 23 1st be anywhere near ballpark for Burrow/Lamar/Kyler?

I’d gladly pay that cost as it would eat into my depth but fill in my biggest need. Any thoughts on if this is an appropriate starting offer? Calculator says fair but feels kinda light and I’d be willing to sweeten it and don’t want to insult. Any thoughts appreciated, thanks!

I think the package is light for any of the three QBs mentioned but if you are able to add, depending on what the add is, it's a big upgrade for your team. Any idea what the other managers are thinking on this?

Not entirely sure, unfortunately those three qbs are on the teams of three of the least active guys in the off-season but think I’ll send as is and let them know I’m willing to negotiate based on their preferences and see where it goes as long as it’s not insultingly bad.

I don’t think so. None of those guys move the needle enough. You need at least one stud. Worth a try though.

Can you see my Watson package?

I’d honestly roll the dice on keeping Tua vs paying the necessary price for one of the guys you mentioned (don’t think your offers are strong enough to get the guys mentioned anyways; if o had those guys, and someone was wanting, be prepared to bring in multiple firsts)

I think the offer is light. The more pieces you have to add for an elite QB, the tougher it’ll be for an accept.

I’d roll with Tua and Wentz… both seem to be in a potentially better situation than last year… Miami with more weapons and Wentz with, another, fresh start.

Keep your depth.

Yeah I figured it was light, tempted to throw in 24 1st to have a chance but don’t know that it’s smart to throw away all of my firsts.

Went through a few different iterations, ended up settling on Zach Wilson, 2022 2.10, Mooney and my 23 1st for Trey Lance. A lot of assets but I think Lance can put me over the top.
