Higgins vs Diontae

Postby foreleft08 » Mon Feb 28, 2022 5:29 am

Who would you rather have and what’s the difference between the two value wise, if any? Talking potential trade with league mate that centers around these two. League is SF, PPR.

In my mind, lots of things to compare here. Diontae is a target hog and creates great separation. However, the QB situation is worrisome. Tee has a great QB situation and looked to be more of a red zone threat later in the season. But. Did we see Tee’s ceiling this year?

Any input is appreciated!

Slight lean to Higgins.

He's in a system with a great QB & is primed for success. Higher ceiling than Diontae.

Diontae has the higher floor in that offense as long as he keeps seeing consistent targets from the new QB.

I think this is extremely difficult to answer at this time because of the Pit QB situation. If that was settled I'd feel more confident picking a side. For now, I'm leaning Higgins, but once the QB situation is settled I reserve the right to change my mind.

This seems like a non starter, unless one of them is really somebody's "my guy". not sure there's a reason for an even up trade, and I'd imagine in most similar scenarios, somebody would want to "win" the trade and it would fall apart

seems like it would make more sense in a package

x5 - I would rather have Higgins as he is tied to Burrow and has an alpha on his other side drawing top/double coverage. If Pittsburgh brings in a top QB, this may be different but I think Higgins is the better option. He is also super young.

Completely understand what you're saying. I always like to get outside opinions when entering talks. I know as an owner, sometimes it's easy to put the blinders on and overvalue or reach for players. I have Higgins in this situation and the Diontae owner has Burrow. He's been trying to snag Chase or Higgins from me and keeps trying to come up with deals. I'm not looking to 'win' a trade or work someone over, but if I would be able to maybe snag a mid-late '23 2nd on top of Diontae to make a pretty horizontal move, then it would seem to possibly make sense. May just hold too.

To me that 24 2nd carries very little value. I prefer Higgins in a vacuum and he is the one instigating the trade, I think you should do better to pull the trigger

Kind of the side I'm leaning right now as well. Only thing I see with it is the trade partner said that is the max they will offer. So, it's either accept or nothing at that point. Which, I'm not dying to move him, so not really a big deal. Just don't want to pass up good value if it is there.
