As a Dobbins owner I'm getting ready to stomach an overpayment for Gus Bus.

Dobbins owners, what you are offering? Gus owners, what are you asking?

I'm leaning towards a 2022 2nd (midish) and a roster player (Edward's owner in our TE premium has TE issues so maybe Hooper).

I don't think Le'veon Bell or Todd Gurley is scaring anyone

A 2nd seems like fair value to buy but I'm guessing most owners will push for a 1st thinking he could get a ton of work. Hard to say if that will happen or not. I would not overpay as of now.

A contenders 2nd is fair but I dunno if folks are selling for that. No way I'd pay a 1st. He's not going to the THE guy even if Dobbins is out for the year. You can find similar production from other middling RBs that won't cost you a 1st.

My bigger point is Gus is not going to be the man. He will still be sharing and have a similiar role.

I think he's going to be the 2 down bell cow. Won't be the third down back, but I think he's going to get 250-300 carries barring injury.

I think he is going to be the man, on early downs. He's a good back, and the best that's available to them right now, including what's out there as a FA. 250 carries minimum barring injuries.

I would only get him if its a mid late 2. I feel like a proven guy will get traded for, someone cheapish with real production history like a Marlon Mack. I don't think Mack fits for them but that type of player.

x2. He went for a mid 2nd in one of my leagues (not to the Dobbins owner) and that was a month or so ago.

I would think he is worth a late first to a contender in need of RB help now. Especially when you look at a lackluster 22 class.

I just sent an offer to a team in full rebuild of Amon-Ra St Brown+2022 3rd+2022 4th. He said he’s thinking about it. I don’t have a 2nd so tried to send an equivalent package. We’ll see.

I can’t believe some of these thoughts of Gus and his value. He is a highly desirable piece even before dobbins injury. 700+ rushing yards every season he’s been in the league on limited touches. Over 5+ ypc and got $10 mill tender this offseason. Why on earth would the ravens not utilize him? Hahaha and to think a team with Gus would trade him right now for a 2nd is hilarious. I don’t see that happening at all. I wouldn’t have traded my shares of Gus for a 2nd before dobbins went down. These types of posts make me wonder if people are kidding or something.
