Godwin for Gallman? Please help, so many injuries!

Should I trade away Chris Godwin for Wayne Gallman (and hopefully a rookie pick next year)?

I’ve been killed by injuries and I’m now 0-3 for a terrible start. See my lineup in my signature, it’s up to date, but basically I lost both Barkley and Guice to injury. I’m about to lose Ekeler to backup role and all this basically leaves me with Mixon who is far from a picture of health. I had such high hopes starting the season with Barkley, Mixon, and Guice! Ugh!

Also I lost Roethlisberger so now JuJu’s production is questionable. However, I have both Mike Evans and Chris Godwin driving me insane wondering if I should start both each week.

Should I trade Godwin for Gallman or maybe shop Evans around for another back?

I expected to do really well this year so I traded away my rookie picks for next year... now they are looking like gold... but basically tanking the season isn’t an option!

No chance I'm making this deal. Gallman is likely worthless again once Barkley is healthy. I would not trade a piece as valuable as Godwin for a plug in.

I wouldn't do that trade in redraft. In dynasty it is not even something that should be considered

Just accept this likely isn't your year and focus on improving for future years, all this trade accomplishes is making it harder for you to compete next year and beyond. This is how so many dynasty teams get ruined, making panic trades due to injuries and giving away top assets for short term solutions who won't make any real difference. It's also how leagues end up with a couple super teams because those owners capitalize on these short-sighted owners panic.

I’m panicking, so glad I stopped here first to get talked off the ledge. Still I can’t move forward with just Mixon and Ekeler as my only RBs for the next 4-8 weeks. My only tradable assets besides FAAB dollars are my WRs (JuJu, Evans, Gordon, Godwin, Jeffery). What level of RB would you expect for one of them?

Jeesh, 0-3 and you already traded away all your 2020 picks? Here is a different idea. What is the possibility of trading Saquan for either Kamara, CMC, or Zeke. what would be added and to which side? Saquan is going to be back this year, he's the best RB, but you could potentially get similar production and value from either of the other 3. If you really want, you could add Dalvin to this list too.

I'm all for selling one of Gordon, Godwin, Jeffrey too.

Don't trade Juju, you want to build around him and Barkley for the long-term.

I would try and trade one of the TB WRs, Evans will probably bring back the biggest return. You could possibly get Chubb or Jacobs+ for him, Godwin perhaps Sanders or Montgomery+

The older WRs not really sure but they'll have at least some value and net a decent pick.

See what you can get for Ekeler from the Gordon owner.

Opinions are pretty split on Mixon, but I think his current market value outweighs his true value so I would move him in the right deal.

Finally I would move Kelce for a younger TE+, I'd be after Hockenson+.

All these moves could potentially give you more depth and a longer window of being a true contender, rather than just trying in vain to be a false contender this year.

Thanks for all the advice. Reached out to the Montgomery owner to propose Godwin for him and he responded with an offer to give me Montgomery for Godwin and Preston Williams from my taxi. I’m tempted... thoughts?

That is at least in the ballpark, but you should not have to give up Williams... Godwin > Montgomery but ur situation thats not terrible.

Also if you are desperate to stay into the race this year, Saquan is still #1 Dynasty... if a team who is selling owns a Kamara or Zeke or top tier back look to make a swap there as well, should be a no brainer for rebuilding team

At 0-3, with the Barkley injury, Cincy's O-Line being terrible and Gordon coming back, I think it'll be tough to compete this year, especially in a 10-teamer. I'd look to sell Kelce, Gordon, Jeffrey and Graham if you can, and try to recoup some picks to reload next year. Keep Godwin unless you get multiple 1sts worth of value -- he's a good piece to build around, I wouldn't be worried about owning both him and Evans if you're not competitive.

Maybe try and get your first back and just tank so you get a nice pick you can add to you team with, i know its hard but dont do anything you would regret..
