Are my expectations too high on these guys values?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Are my expectations too high on these guys values?

Postby slaughterrt » Fri Nov 02, 2018 10:51 am

Rebuilding orphan that I took over less than two weeks ago. Blowing it up.

12 team superflex/ppr/Full IDP

Couple guys I am trying to move from my squad. I thought my values were reasonable but not having much luck moving some of these guys. Now, these guys aren’t super high end type guys, but they are producing this year and can help some win-now teams.

Am I too high on these guys?

Fitz - looking for a 2nd
Beasley - looking for a 2nd
Amendola - looking for a 2nd

Of course other owners know that I am rebuilding and trying hard to move these guys. That prob drives down their value a little. But am I that far off?

LOL. Yes. Your expectations are way too high.

I'd happily pay a mid 2nd for Fitz if I was contending and weak at WR.
Beasley and Amendola no way, too inconsistent and one is always broken. 3rd rounders.

not sure if that's Larry Fitz or Fitzmagic, but either is fine for a 2nd in a SF (I wouldn't hold out for a high 2nd, any 2nd is fair).

As far as the other two go...I'd be happy getting anything. A 2nd is way too optimistic, esp considering Cooper is taking looks away from Beasley, and Amendola will likely be injured by next game. Just take what you can get for those two before they have zero value....likely very soon

I assumed it was Larry Fitz we were talking about. I like him rest of the season.

No way anyone moves a 2nd for Beasley or Amendola (or even both combined). Fitz maybe, but it would have to be a true competitor who needs some WR help. Even then, they know you're trying to get rid of him and might be willing to move him for a 3rd.

I hate 2nd picks and I don't think even I would give up a 2nd rnd pick for those guys.
I guess if I was desperate for a WR THIS year maybe, but other wise I would rather have the lotto ticket of a 2nd rd pick than any of those guys. There are just too many players like them available on the waiver wire (and typically on my team)
Team 1 (superlex):
QB: Mahommes, Geno, Cousins, Ridder
RB: CMC, Javonte, Allgeier
WR: K. Allen, Metcalf, D. Smith, Ridley, Bateman, Burks, Wan'Dale
TE: Higbee

Team 2:
QB: Aaron Rodger, Watson
RB: Alvin Kamara, Zeke, D. Henderson, Mostert, Cohen, Jamaal Williams
WR: Metcalf, AJ Brown, Alen Robinson, Crowder, Lazard
TE: Mark Andrews, Trautman

The problem is that a competing team is competing because they have a solid team. The likelihood of any of these guys being put in a lineup is too low for that cost.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

Thanks for schooling me guys, and yes it’s Larry Fitz. I guess my expectations are a bit high then. There are some competitive teams with holes at WR2/3 but I guess not looking for these guys at my prices. Waivers are a bit bare cause of 50 man rosters, so I thought these guys would have some decent value.

Thanks again.

I’m with the masses in that I wouldn’t pay a 2nd for any of them. I think I can do better than them if I need a WR. A 3rd for Beasley or Amendola feels like a quality swap. The future of Fitz plus uncertain production in year will suppress the value as well. A 2nd would be a win. If you can get a sweetener with a 3rd I’d be content. Maybe if he puts together another good game or two a 2nd will be more attainable (plus injuries can happen to drive up demand).
