The team receiving Tate is in contention, but thin at WR with Odell, Keenan and Crabtree.

I'll take the Tate side. He's the most known piece in the deal. Foreman is a big question mark and the hit rate on a late 1st isn't very good.

Do you think it requires more on the D'onta/1st side?

That is my big hang up as well, James... I trade away 20 points a week, for a guy who may not do squat.

I mean, don't get me wrong - I agree somewhat with the others as I have owned Tate and have been trying to move him for a couple of seasons now. But he's like so many 29 yr old players - their production value exceeds their trade value. I'd rather let Tate catch 90+ balls a year than trade him for less than I think he's worth because he's about to be 30.

I'd prefer better than a late 1st but if I had to do a late 1st + I'd rather the + not be Foreman.

Foreman is still so young and although his injury is still a question mark, the situation he is in and the little competition he has at rb in Houston are both a big plus. Tate isnt getting any younger and with Galloday emerging who knows how much he has left.

I think these are legit concerns but I still think Tate is going to see a ton of underneath volume. And his style of play lends itself to more longevity because it isn't based on pure speed. To me he's like Steve Smith + Julian Edelman - Lite.

That is my hangup..... Last three years for WRs:
2018 thus far - 11th in points
2017 - 12th in points
2016 - 17th in points

He's a borderline WR1 weekly.... I just don't get it. If I'm a contender, 2019 late 1st/Foreman isn't anything for the 20 points a week.

If you're a contender you absolutely keep him. If you're going to blow it up and rebuild then it's closer. Like I said earlier, I'd want better than a late 1st and if it's a late 1st + I want a young guy with less question marks.

Unless of course he's surplus to requirements and you can trade him away without hurting your starting lineup's scoring chances.

He's a middling contender at best. His pick might not end up being that late (1.06-1.09, assuming 12-man). You should see if you can get him to throw in Njoku too!

I think this is fair and depends on team needs. I always like selling guys whose potential seems to be baked into their value (read: Derrick Henry last year), and I think that applies to Foreman a bit. If I'm contending, I'll take Tate -- and the first will be later anyway that way.
