Immediate Trade Advice!...How'd I do?

Postby SD Palooka » Mon Mar 14, 2011 8:53 pm

I've just been offered the following trade:

Give: R. Mendenhall/J. Maclin/B. Roethlisberger

Get: A. Peterson/M. Crabtree/M. Cassel

With my keeper restrictions (no more than 3 at any one position), this deal boils down to Mendy/Maclin for AP. Considering the scoring system and the ages of my players should I: A) ask for more in return or B) click accept ASAP? My roster and league info is in my signature.

Here's most of his roster:

QB - J. Flacco, M. Stafford, M. Cassel
RB - AP, A. Foster, J. Charles, B. Jacobs
WR - B. Lloyd, M. Crabtree, A. Boldin

Please advise.

Thanks for the feedback. I already own his 3.08 and I figure he won't budge on more picks. I might be able to flip Crabtree to a different owner.

Who is the WR that you would cut if you don't make the trade? Looks like a smart move to make if you're going to cut Maclin anyway...

As of mid March, I was keeping V. Jackson, probably keeping Dez, and wasn't sure about Marshall or Maclin.

And after looking at last years stats Mendy and Peterson were not that far apart.

Mendy- 16 games - 13 TD's and 4 (100 yard rushing games)
Peterson - 15 games - 13 TD's and 5 (100 yard rushing games)

That said...I just accepted...Signature is updated. How'd I do?

Because of the keeper rules, I like it, as you were going to be making tough choices at WR. I still wouldn't keep Dez over Colston, Marshall and VJax.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

Thanks and your opinion on Dez is appreciated...I'm sure you've had players in similar situations where you decided against conventional wisdom and were right half the time and wrong half the time.

Even with my thoughts on "possibly" keeping Dez; the wheels are already turning...I'll be offering 2 of the following 3 (Crabtree/Colston/Stewart) for DJax. He has Brees, L. Blount, C. Benson and DJax as his tops players, but my God he is REALLY high on DJax. Anyway, if that domino falls, my league's "Cowboy" fan might part with R. Rice for a Dez/Gore deal. He has some talent (Romo/Shaub, Rice/Moreno/Best, Wallace/Harvin) but my gut feeling is he's high on Bryant.

These are all just trade thoughts as of now, but imagining a starting roster of
QB-Vick
RB-Peterson/Rice/Mathews
WR -VJ/DJax/B. Marshall

this the reason why I enjoy this hobby so much! (You should have seen the roster I inherited 4 seasons ago,)

There's no way I'd be offering 2 of those for DJax.

I'd rather own Colston or Stewart than DJax...

All right all ready...it must have been morning delusion. I agree with both of you's. I'll be setting my sights higher than DJax.

I think I still have enough depth (that I won't be able to keep) that I can shoot for another upper tier RB or WR.

Thanks for the inputs.
