benson or jamaal charles?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Postby Guppy CEO » Tue Apr 20, 2010 5:29 pm

which rb has the most value for the next few years? do to league contract rules, i could only keep benson for 4 years or charles for 3. i've been offered 1 or the other in trade.

Charles by a long shot.

I'm very happy Benson turned his career around, but he's 28, and his numbers are good, not great.

i actually like benson. He is the for sure starter, and thomas jones may take over and have charles as a backup

Charles by a considerable margin.

He will be more productive.
He is only 23.

Thomas Jones may take some carries away this season, but at 32 when the season kicks off he is not a viable threat over anything past 2010.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

Ask this question after next season. I am not too sure Benson has much left long term, but at the same time I truly feel Charles is bust bound in 2010, and would avoid owning him in any sort of redreft league, dynasty wise he holds more value, but I don't think he will match last years numbers, even with a full season of playing. Thats just me though.
