New Years Day.

Postby Salty Dawg » Fri Jan 01, 2010 10:47 am

Made a small wager with a guy who I am up on. So basically playing the house $..It really isnt anything huge but bragging rights are there. We used to work together and he still cant swallow my v.young TEXas pick over USC.

Anyway here is what this year lil day long bet is.

I got:
Penn st over LSU.
Ohio st over Oregon
WVA over Fla ST
Cinc ovr Fla.

IF we are tied after the games the tiebreaker is the line on the Cin/Fla where I am getting the 12.5pts.

Thoughts.

I think i could be out on this one but I have uncanny luck sometimes with this guy and really think the Big 10 could finally show up in the BCS games for real finally.
Thoughts??I could also go 4-0 also. YEah right!

The game I would be concerned with is WVU and Florida State. Bowden should have the team fired up for his last game.

The Big East is no match for the SEC as much as it pains me to say it...I really hope Pitt goes to the BIG 10.

That's Cool, I thought you'd be a Washington Huskie fan coming from Seattle, but I really like the direction the Oregon program is headed in, its funny being an OSU fan as most of us fans spent most of the day cursing at Pryor and Jim Tressel's play calling  , but in the end I really admire the program that Tressel has built, despite the ultra-conservative play calling at times

Thanks for the insight.
I had it right up until the end when I couldnt get the tiebreaker.

Well I wasnt entirely convinced of my Cincy pick what I thought would bail me out in the end is that Cincy could cover the 12.5 pt spread.
I mean I felt like hey keep it closer and in garbage time get that back door TD to cover. It wasnt meant to be. Oh well we are back to even.

But I must say Ohio State and Penn St were def good hunches eh.

Born and raised in Portland Oregon and where all my family still live.

What really struck me was OSU's ability to convert on 3rd down. I can't tell you how many times UO put them in 3rd and long and Pryor was able to convert with his legs or hail mary lobs that were caught by tall, awkward looking white guys. Not a pretty offensive game at all but OSU's defense shut down the Duck's zone read offense.

Good win for your boys for sure.
