I'm still watching tape on these guys, and I'm very much an amateur at all this, but right now I'd take Winston as a pro prospect. He's played in a more pro-style offense and goes through his reads well, uses his mobility to keep plays alive more often than he uses it to try to make a play. I saw a little too much of that Manziel-esque bail on the pass and make a run for it from Mariota. I think they both have great upside and could turn into top 10 dynasty guys before too long, but I think Winston's skill is more polished at this point.

I also think there's an outside chance neither of these guys find success. Mariota could bust from being thrust into starting too early and Winston could prove too immature to ever clean up his off-field issues. As with any prospect, it's a gamble. My money is on talent, so Winston for me.

I see literally no resemblance to Cam Newton in Winston. Winston seems to be a (much) less athletic Luck to me.

After the bowls, I'm not really impressed with either, though I like Mariota more. I don't think Winston will be able to stay out of trouble.

I see it too. I'd say he's a blend of Ben and Luck with maybe a hint of Phillip Rivers. Good QB that can make some bonehead throws, but always comes out firing.

Honestly, I want TB to snag Winston and TN to snag Mariota. I feel like those are the ideal places for those QBs. I wouldn't have a problem taking either one if they ended up in that order. I'd prefer Winston in that draft day situation since he will challenge down-field and let big Mike Evans and ASJ go get the ball.

Hands down, Mariota. Less off the field issues. Better probability to succeed.

There is positively 0.00% chance that the Titans draft Mariota. Unless they fire Whisenhunt before the draft. He does NOT want his QB to run under nearly any circumstance and he is coaching for his job next year and the GM is on the hot seat right now. Now way they take a rookie QB at 2, especially Mariota who doesn't fit what they want to do. I see them taking Randy Gregory, Leionard Williams or trading down. Maybe a small chance of Amari Vooper since they really only have Wright and Hunter with Washington on his way out. Every si gle mock draft that has Mariota to the Titans is an absolute joke and they clearly aren't doing any research, rant over Lol.

Winston has a chance to be very good maybe even great... Mariota is an average NFL QB at best. I don't ever remember him making one NFL throw. Not one.

I'm curious as to what an 'NFL throw' is.

Using an actual football without the white lines at the ends?

Just making an assumtion, but I'm assuming they meant something like "takes the snap from center, drops back, stays in the pocket, reads the coverage and completes a pass (that isn't a screen)"

Exactly... Also throwing the ball to a receiver who isn't totally wide open with no defender within 10 yards of him. His arm is ok, above average. Worse of all, he's probably going to fall to the Jets. Like someone on here said, Whisenhunt won't touch Mariota so the Jets are probably going to take him. Mariota is a project QB, he needs like 2 years just to develop but unfortunately the Jets are probably going to throw him to the wolves.

I didn't say he didn't make one, I just said I don't remember him making one. I only saw 4-5 Ducks games this year and most of them were blowouts by halftime so I'm not an expert on Mariota. I'm sure he DID make some NFL throws this year, I just don't remember any of them.

Well that's quite a different statement from your earlier one. At least... the implication or connotation or whatever is quite different. Implying that he never did is one thing. If you just don't remember, that's fine.
