I would compare him more to Frank Wycheck than to Ben Roethlisberger, I don't ever see him as a top flight NFL QB, but he still could be a good player, just not at the QB position. Put Tebow on that same Miami of Ohio team and he would not produce the same way Ben did. I am not against drafting him on my fantasy team, but to waste a 1st rnd pick on him would be a stupid move. Use your 1.4 on a RB or WR, then go after Tebow in the 2nd if you realy have to have him.MrUbuto wrote:also can someone explain this to me?? I've been hearing this for awhile now from the ESPN talking heads. based on my own humble research he seems comparable to ben rothlisberger.. 6'3 240 4.7 40 time and ben is 6'5 240 and 4.9 40 times. also there college numbers are very similar and tim had a much harder defensive schedule in college. ben went 11th overall. I think the whole teabow case is just a case of the media reporting on the media.. this is the same reason brady quinn went so high.bigcsr67 wrote:I would rather have a used teabag, than a tebowMrUbuto wrote:this drafts really kicking my but.. i got 1.4.. and based on what I know about the people picking at 1,2,3 I think I have a serious shot at dez bryant.. I don't need another young WR since I drafted hicks, maclin and crabtree last year.. but damn based on this site if I can get him at 1.4 its an absolute steal... either that or trade down and get teabow who I am higher then most on
Who's Your 1.1?
I have to go with Mathews here. He is the best back in the draft and can be a 3 down back in the NFL. He can bust through the hole when running inside and has enough speed to run outside. I think he can become a solid pass catching back too. Spiller will split carries and has a shot at being Reggie Bush or Chris Johnson. I think he will be a better back that Bush but a #3 at best.
Mathews, where they land could change my vote though. In SD Mathews could easily be the 2nd coming of LT going off for the next 6-8 years.
No matter how talented a receiver is there are just as many busts as there are booms. Productive fantasy receivers are easier to come across than running backs. Bryant's talent is considerable but he has just as much chance to become Charles Rogers as he does Andre Johnson. Now, I think Dez will be a productive NFL receiver but he has to work at it because talent alone means nothing without dedication and hard work.

Bradford in my league #2, for reasons stated in several other posts.
