I understand the concept, I'm just wondering if there is any way you can effectively apply H2H to more than two teams because that seems the fairest way to break a tie.

The sweep rule

one team must have swept or been swept by all the other tied teams before advancing or being eliminated from the tiebreaking process.

If you are going to use h2h for 2 teams why not use it for 3 or 4 if one team has beat all the other tied teams? ( or been beat by all the other tied teams thus eliminated from the tiebreak )

If not then move to the nexttiebreak just dont automaticly skip it because there are more than 2 tied teams.
