What is everyone's thoughts on Roddy for the rest of this season? Once he's healthy will he be WR1 with Julio out?

If he's healthy, he's definitely a wr1 to me. Not sure when that's going to happen though. Just traded Shorts for him and could use some depth but not sure it's going to help in the next month.

I feel like if healthy he'll return to wr1 (or close to it) status. Though I'm not sure when that'll be.

I think he's worth acquiring and waiting on. He has some very juicy playoff match-ups. Even if he misses a few more games, if you can get in the playoffs I think he'll be a difference maker.

I definitely think he'll finish with WR1 numbers down the stretch. Obviously that is assuming he just sits down until he's ready. He is making things worse playing through his nagging injuries.

Agreed, should have just sat out the first few weeks and he'd be back to playing like the WR1 he used to be. Instead he's out there continuing his game's played streak, not healing quickly at all and putting the rest of his season at risk. Super frustrating. Thought I had an A+ trade in the off-season, Fitz and Gates for Aaron Hernandez and Roddy White. What a joke that has become...Although Fitz has not done nearly as well as I'd have expected with Palmer.

I was thinking of making a thread about Roddy also as I recently traded Dwayne Bowe and Nick Toon for him. I am concerned that he has lingering injuries, 2 of them, that does bother me. But the bye week came at a great time, and it looks like they appear they are gonna hold him out which IMO is a great thing. You can't rush high ankle sprains or hamstring pulls, what good has he done lately with that ankle how it's been? But down the stretch, it's a team with Matt Ryan and no Julio, they'll be losing a lot of games, Steven Jackson may still be out for awhile, I just feel like he's gonna be a target monster down the stretch. That's going to net some huge games. Overall, Roddy has been as durable as they come, so it basically just allowed me an opportunity to buy him at a discount and get a really productive WR for 2-3 more seasons at least.


I lost Cobb so I plan on rolling with Roddy during the playoffs, I'd also be a buyer in any other league where WR depth was a problem. Contending teams I'm on struggling at the position he's a no brainer buy low for me. He'll be 32 next year, and I think with Gonzo retiring he's got an easy 2 seasons left of high end WR2 numbers and after how durable he's been in his career everyone has 1 season like this typically.

I traded Stephen hill and a 2014 3rd for him... Baught him off a rebuilding team. I am hoping he can step it up because my top two wrs are Desean and aj green, amendola, tavon and rueben randle are my top reserves, but I cant trust any of those guys at the moment. I am hoping roddy rebounds and can help me make a push later in the year.
