Rome Odunze or Brock Bowers

I’m in a 12-team Superflex Dynasty League with .5pt PPR.

I have the 1.07 pick and Odunze and Bowers are available. I’m torn on who to select as I like them both.

Rome unless TE premium. This year Rome will be limited by Keenan but I bet he takes off by end of the year

I think you take Bowers here. Stud wrs come out every year. The greatest TE prospect in history obviously doesn’t. But I could see you going with Odunze as well. It’s a matter of preference but I’d take the chance with bowers personally

I’d roll with Bowers. It’s easier to get a foundational WR than a generational TE…

First of all, I don't draft for need. I draft for value and trade for need.
Secondly, I am not sure that TE is more of a need on his team.

Davante Adams and Mike Evans are no longer babies. They got 1 maybe 2 productive years left.
Take those 2 WR's out of his WR room, and see what you think about his WR's.

I had the luxury of taking both with back to back picks. For what it’s worth, I did click on the Odunze button first. But really I think it’s close enough to just pick who you like more. Both are incredible prospects that could have very good careers. I will say that the TE prospects coming out over the next few seasons are nothing to get excited about at least as of right now. You’ll likely need to trade for a good TE at some point if you go Odunze but that is likely cheaper than trying to trade for a top tier WR. If Odunze hits, he will likely be the much more valuable asset in this format.

odzune just led the nation in yards and then went top 10 in the nfl draft. id lean him. not that bowers is bad but idk if i see 1300 yard 8+td seasons as easily as i envision it for rome
