Henry or 2027 1st?

1QB 14 Team Start 7 Half PPR

Have been trying to work out a deal for Henry but the owner is dead set on getting a 1st. He doesn’t even care what first it is. He said he would take my 2027 1st and they literally jsut got added to our teams after the draft. I don’t love moving future 1sts often but I feel like I need another good RB and they are so expensive in this league. Any decent RB is almost impossible to get. Is this too much for a guy like Henry? Do I have enough at RB to go into the season and at least hold off on buying another RB until I have a better grip on how my team is doing? I should be a very strong contender but anything can happen. Thoughts?

In a league with shallow starting requirements, I'd be okay with sending out a 2027 1st for Henry. He's aging and you'll probably never get the value back for him but he should have a productive year or two left in him. Your team looks like a strong contender so I see not problem really going for it now while your window is open.

Agreed, not a great time to buy RBs. You'll almost certainly be able to buy Henry midseason for that pick if you decide to pull the trigger, otherwise I'd look into cheaper depth-type guys who will still score you some points if you need it.

I tabled the talks for this exact reason. This was part of my hesitation but there actually is a bit of a bidding war. He is the only selling rebuild team with an RB worth trading for and he’s trying to leverage us for the highest price (which he absolutely should) and I didn’t want to miss out. I just moved Dobbins for Mostert so I feel much better about my RB depth heading into the season and will reassess week 1 when everyone is upright on 2 legs.

Yeah it was a good move for me. I did lose out on Henry today. Another owner gave up a 1st for him while I treaded water. I’m completely fine missing out on that deal anyways. I have enough at RB to see if I need to make a bigger move mid season.
