He would have an extra year in to refine his game before his production prime, while also still having the potential to produce. Nabers will have all of this year to get to a point as a WR where Harrison stands now, while also still potentially producing good FF numbers. It;s not about the end of their career so much, is that it;s an extra year in their production window prime. Nabers should get a lot of targets year 1, as it stands, so he could produce a year in the NFL at age 21, that Harrison will never get.Bronco Billy wrote: ↑Mon May 06, 2024 9:43 amI honestly don’t understand the logic behind this line of thought. Foodie. Mild sauce goes in the trash. Well done steak goes with it.
Habaneros make the best tasting hot sauce. Throwing a bunch of random stuff on top of fries doesn't mean you call it "poutine".

No one knows how longer each guy’s prime production window will be open. For all we know, Nabers’ game will start regressing when he’s 29 while MHJ is still going strong at age 33. That whole debate seems specious to me.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Mon May 06, 2024 9:50 amHe would have an extra year in to refine his game before his production prime, while also still having the potential to produce. The idea (to me at least), would be that you have Player A: older, more refined and Player B: younger and raw. Player A might be the better player right now, but give Player B some time to advance, learn routes, etc. At that point, maybe Player B is way ahead of Player A.
Think of A as a Pearsall, Ladd, Legette and B is Thomas or Keon Coleman. I don't think there's much more Nabers needs to work on. Him and MHJ are the real deal. Feels like Julio vs AJG debate

OK. What I am also saying is, if you take the average production peak of 27 years old, then Nabers gets an extra year within there. As BB said, Nabers could fall off at 29, and Harrison at 33, BUT it could also go the other way. In which case, again, extra year for Nabers.Jigga94 wrote: ↑Mon May 06, 2024 11:10 amI get what FF is saying, but it doesn't quite work for Elite prospects.Bronco Billy wrote: ↑Mon May 06, 2024 9:56 amNo one knows how longer each guy’s prime production window will be open. It's more prevalent in multiple years for RB's, like Jacobs vs Najee, being drafted at 21 vs 23, but nonetheless, all things being equal, Nabers has an extra year to produce.
I don't think it should make you change your rankings of either player, but it is a bonus that Nabers has. I'd say the exact same thing if it was the other way round, and MHJ was a year younger.

Right, but players all play different amount of times and have different primes. It seems silly to speculate on what happens 10 years down the road with these 2.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Mon May 06, 2024 11:17 amOK. I took this opportunity to buy Michael Wilson for a 2025 mid 2nd rounder in a league where I needed WR help. Would like to hear everyone’s thoughts on Wilson’s value/projected production as it pertains to MHJ?
