Moving Tyreek or Aging WR Assets
In my 12-man, 1 ppr league where we start qb-rb-rb-rb-wr-wr-wr-wr-te-flex-k-d
a guy gave me a horrible offer for Tyreek. Got me thinking. Can I get younger?
I have a pretty solid starting group of wrs—Jefferson, Tyreek, Diggs, Davante, Allen.
His roster is okay, but he has some nice pieces.
Tyreek for ASRB straight up?
What if I offered two aging assets—
say Diggs + Allen
for
ASRB
or
Allen + Boyd
or
Diggs + Woods
for
DJM
Thoughts? My full team is in my signature (Dynasty #4).

Re: Moving Tyreek or Aging WR Assets
Robert Woods?
I don't see why anyone would take those deals. And if his offer was truly horrible for Tyreek, you're probably so far apart that the counter is worthless.
But yes, if you can get either of the ARSB/DJM deals done, they're no-brainers

as a Hill owner I would gladly move him for Brown but I highly doubt that would get done; its wrong time of yr to attempt those trades

Re: Moving Tyreek or Aging WR Assets
I would make any of those trades if you can find a willing partner.
I know I couldn't make those trades in my leagues.
I did just trade Tyreek Hill away though.
I sent Tyreek + a late 25 2nd for what looks to be a top 5 2025 1st + 2024 2.04 in a 14 team SF TEP league.
Minor rebuild.

These trades have an almost comically low chance of being accepted. I expect your league mates to be posting these in the bad trade offers soon...wickerkat1212 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 2:09 pmYes, Robert Woods.Prison_Mike wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 2:06 pm Robert Woods?

Re: Moving Tyreek or Aging WR Assets
It eventually does hurt if you offer ridiculous trades. Teams won’t consider trading with you. There is one team in each of my leagues I don’t ever initiate offers with because they always send the most lopsided offers/counters.
That being said I moved Davante and Ferguson for Devonta in my team 1 league. I felt it gave me a chance to extend my window and get value for an aging asset. Tyreek is more valuable than Davante but the offers you proposed are very unlikely to even warrant a counter from anyone who knows what they’re doing.

I don't think they are bad offers. Two older studs for one younger stud. But yeah, we'll see.

If both Diggs and Allen were both still with the teams that made them studs, you might of had a chance.

Woods is a dead asset. I think throwing a dead asset into an offer could dissuade someone from considering it, even if it’s an otherwise decent offer.wickerkat1212 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 2:09 pmYes, Robert Woods.Prison_Mike wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 2:06 pm Robert Woods?

As for the others, I suppose it doesn’t hurt to offer, as long as it’s a well established league (or maybe close friends) and you wouldn’t be damaging trade relationships.
Sometimes you have redraft-minded people that might consider that type of deal, but it’d be a tough sell considering each of the young guys you’re targeting are coming off their best season

Re: Moving Tyreek or Aging WR Assets
Sure. I added Boyd instead of Woods. I saw it as he's a fairly competitive team, and if he was trading for Tyreek (who isn't young) maybe he'd take Diggs + Allen instead. IDK. Re: Moving Tyreek or Aging WR Assets
I'd maybe pivot and see if he'd take Tyreek + (one of) Allen/Diggs for ARSB + a pickwickerkat1212 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 8:29 pmSure. I added Boyd instead of Woods. I saw it as he's a fairly competitive team, and if he was trading for Tyreek (who isn't young) maybe he'd take Diggs + Allen instead. IDK. You never know.Prison_Mike wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 6:07 pmWoods is a dead asset. I think throwing a dead asset into an offer could dissuade someone from considering it, even if it’s an otherwise decent offer.wickerkat1212 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 2:09 pm
Yes, Robert Woods.
You never know. Never hurts to offer, right?
As for the others, I suppose it doesn’t hurt to offer, as long as it’s a well established league (or maybe close friends) and you wouldn’t be damaging trade relationships.
Sometimes you have redraft-minded people that might consider that type of deal, but it’d be a tough sell considering each of the young guys you’re targeting are coming off their best season
Not as much firepower on your roster, but would accomplish the goal of getting younger which at some point will become a priority considering 4 of your top 5 WRs are dangerously close to (or have already surpassed) the age cliff
Again though, might be a moot point if the initial Tyreek offer was way off
Re: Moving Tyreek or Aging WR Assets
IF you want a stud have give up one, Diggs is no longer a stud, nor is allen ,simply due to age while changing teams. This will take Hill plus for a top 5 wrs that is young. Those offers outside of hill maybe not draw a response. Selling old assets in Dynasty out of season and no injuries is difficult. Your best bet maybe ride what you got if you are all in , if not blow it up.

Re: Moving Tyreek or Aging WR Assets
those deals are wildly off man and i think you need to adjust your valuations a bit on those older assets. (if you wanna make some retooling moves to get younger that is, anyone can value anyone how they please)
hill should get you someone like wilson, olave, london, etc. and you may even have to add slightly if the trade partner isnt super win now.
