Pitts vs. Kittle (value gap)

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Pitts vs. Kittle (value gap)

Postby Mr. Reid » Wed Mar 06, 2024 2:43 pm

Curious to everyones thoughts here. I just completed a trade giving Kittle & 2025 2nd (probably 2.3-2.7 range) for Pitts & 2025 3rd (probably in similar range ... 3.3 - 3.7). A lot of folks believing Kittle side is better, I thought getting Pitts at that price was a good deal. Curious to hear what this community has to say about the trade?

Gave: Kittle & 2025 2nd
Received: Pitts & 2025 3rd

Did I overpay for Pitts? I guess I'm hoping he performs this year with a new QB (unknown at this point), and trying to sell Kittle while his value still holds.

Thoughts?
14 Team SF (12 keepers)
1QB 2RB 3WR 1TE 1 SF 1Flex K Def

QB - Lawerence, Purdy
RB - Gibson, Dowdle
WR - Chase, Lamb, Metcalf, Boyd
TE - Pitts

25 Picks - (3) 1st rounders, (3) 2nd rounders

While Kittle has been better on the field, I think from a value standpoint, you did well getting Pitts for that price.

Trade seems fairly even to me even the pick swap.

Kittle - better numbers, will be ranked higher for '24, much older
Pitts - upside and FOMO value

Serious contender with a need at TE, I want Kittle. But on the whole I'd lean toward the Pitts side because I believe in the talent. I'm still buying London too. . .

Pitts side for me, if Atlanta can get any physical body in at qb, pitts Dynasty value could potentially skyrocket. Lot of people that still believe it’s 100% on the qb.

If I had Kittle, I would be very worried about a complete nose dive in value. So the Pitts side by a lot for me
