What is Diontae Jonhson outlook this year/future?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

What is Diontae Jonhson outlook this year/future?

Postby Yostb » Thu Oct 05, 2023 7:07 pm

I was throwing out offers for underperformers/injured guys and just picked up DJ for couple guys i got off waivers earlier in offseason ( Tutu + Mclaughlin). Im sligthly bummed to see the 2 tiny guys exit the roster, but I assume DJ provides more long term value. Whats his likely outcome rest of season though? Ive had the displeasure of having Harris so Ive watched more Steelers games than Id like to admit....

I think he will resume target hog status once he’s back. But that offense has not been good. I wouldn’t want to count on him as more than a WR3 or flex.

My Wrs are pretty stacked in that league so I doubt id play him this year but we are going from 2 to 3 wr next year and two of my guys (Diggs and Adams) are couple years from their AARP cards so would be nice if the steelers got their act together next year.

I was not a fan coming into the season based on the offense and I would have no interest long term outside of a very low price to acquire. He could be reliable again in the future if he moves on or the offense improves, but that is a big if.

In your case, that was a good price to acquire and hope he gets going. I think the bigger hope is in the future maybe? Not a high risk deal though either way.
