A lot of people won't like it, but my rationale was to continue stock-piling future picks for a bigger trade and this clears a roster spot to allow me to keep someone like Sean Tucker and/ or Cedric Tillman when rosters cut down in a few weeks.

Every trade calculator says I lost, but I want to compete this year and I figure this gives me a better chance than adding 4 rookies. Also I'm pretty agnostic on how these QBs should be ranked so I'm happy to get QB3 or RB2 instead of making the call myself at 2.

i see it as 2.05 and tannehill for purdy. i'm a purdy believer (not as much as Mikeh, mind you) and couldn't shift tannehill for bleep. (i also have aaron rodgers). got flowers at 1.08, i would have picked him at 1.06 and would have been happy with fall back options (addison, stroud).
a bit of an overpay and i could have haggled a bit more, probably, but was short on time.

I love those types of trades.

Sadly it feels like they’re all too rare (another example would be the contender trading with the rebuilder, Jameson Williams for Mike Evans for instance. Those types of trades SHOULD be happening multiple times each season)
