But seriously, when he took that deliberate helmet-to-the-chest tackle I had a flashback to the Hamlin injury and worried Pacheco might be out for the game. Stupid me. He was back after two plays. Philly should have been flagged for that leading-with-helmet tackle. Especially when it came minutes after Pacheco had a typical Pacheco hard-hitting run and flexed after the play, and it seemed to me Philly was trying to send a message back to him.

Re: Isaiah Pacheco
I was thinking more David Wilson's neck injury that derailed his career. This guy is insane. Does he ever go backwards? Seems no matter where he hits he's going fast enough to crash-test-dummy his way forward.Anteaters wrote: ↑Wed Feb 15, 2023 2:41 pmBut seriously, when he took that deliberate helmet-to-the-chest tackle I had a flashback to the Hamlin injury and worried Pacheco might be out for the game. Re: Isaiah Pacheco
Ok, we need a serious discussion about this guys value now. Don’t think people can value him at a 2nd rounder anymore.
Re: Isaiah Pacheco
Mid-late 1st depending on 1QB/SF
Re: Isaiah Pacheco
Think we have to wait to see where Zeke and Cook land ...
These types of backs are hard to trade, I have always had a hard time with guys that seem to take over backfields, .. ie, Ekeler, Pollard, Pacheco ... Usually you can never get full value, but are great addition pieces to seal bigger trades, just always difficult to get the stand alone value ..

Re: Isaiah Pacheco
No chance that I’m taking a RB other than Gibbs and Bijan over him.
SF, PPR, 12 team, 12 player dynasty
QB- Lawrence, Fields, Tannehill (max 2 keepers, 3 rostered)
RB- Bijan Robinson, T Pollard, Allgeier, Charbonnet, Achane, J Wilson, Kelley, K Williams
WR- Lamb, Jeudy, Hill, C Olave, A Pierce, Shaheed, Bourne
TE- Goedert, Musgrave

Re: Isaiah Pacheco
I understand where you're coming from when looking at this from the acquiring team's POV. But for the 1QB team where I roster him, I would not give up Pacheco for a 2023 1.04 or later. I don't think an contender that plans on starting Pacheco should trade him for a "grower." I know 1.04 seems like high value, but I don't see any '23 rookie besides the big three that project to be useful to a contender this season.
I think it has to be a rebuilder that trades away Pacheco for a late '23 first.

Re: Isaiah Pacheco
If I were trading him I’d rather do a random 24 first than anything under 1.03 this year and I really like Jordan Addison. Pacheco has shown me enough and the fact they didn’t add anyone in this draft means something. Pachecos play was also a factor in their Super Bowl team. It wasn’t all just Mahomes.Anteaters wrote: ↑Sat Apr 29, 2023 5:56 pmI understand where you're coming from when looking at this from the acquiring team's POV. I feel sorry for the guys that traded Ekeler to "seal a bigger trade".Plank wrote: ↑Sat Apr 29, 2023 5:44 pm Think we have to wait to see where Zeke and Cook land ...

Sometimes the right call is to just not sell. Aaron Jones and Chris Carson were two more that just kept producing despite no one valuing them highly.

Re: Isaiah Pacheco
I was holding my breath hoping they wouldn’t draft someone and he made it. I’m sure they’ll add someone, but he’s dodged at least one bullet.

Re: Isaiah Pacheco
I just don't see anything special about his game. I like his running style, but he's not the type of talent at RB that I'd be moving any sort of 1st round pick for.Anteaters wrote: ↑Sat Apr 29, 2023 5:56 pmI understand where you're coming from when looking at this from the acquiring team's POV.
