Dobbins or ETN? NonPPR

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Dobbins or ETN? NonPPR

Postby Ray Finkle » Wed Mar 29, 2023 8:07 am

I can’t decide which of these backs I want to include in a package I am trading away. My gut tells me to keep Dobbins but the community seems waaay higher on ETN. Would love to hear others perspective on Dobbins especially

I'd keep Etienne pretty easily.

I get that non-PPR makes it closer. I simply think Etienne is a more talented player and in a better situation long-term.

I still like both. All else equal though, it is ETN easy for me. Seems crazy, but I have more faith in Jacksonville’s offense than Baltimore’s (with Jackson’s uncertainty). Now if Jackson stays and plays all year, that has been great in the past for their run game, so a positive for Dobbins there.

But I’m also more concerned Baltimore brings in someone else to committee with than I am Jacksonville.

Everyone is gonna say ETN is better but it's pretty close imo

I like both backs and have high hopes for each this season but I think the value is currently withkeeping Etienne.

To me, it would depend on what I could get for either. Currently, Etienne is worth more and could fetch another stud. He’s right around G. Wilson and Olave if you wanted WR. Dobbins is around the Jeudy/Pickens range. And with it being nonPPR, I’d bet Dobbins gains value in that setup. I feel he spent the better of the season injured or compromised from injury and that knee will be healthy entering this year.
