I'm not sure what reason the Rams would have to turn down any trade for Akers. He doesn't want to be there and he's bad. I think they would absolutely take a conditional 5th-6th.

If they don't find a trade in the offseason, he's a potential cut candidate.

Probably because due to the "philosophical differences" they have, they don't want to do him any favours. He's a bit of an immature person, based on what I have seen from him in certain circumstances, as are many in their early 20's, but if that's carrying over into an entitlement type of attitude, (and of course that's pure speculation on my part, connecting dots about what the coach has said about his play, and the relationship between he and the team etc.), then cutting him is the last thing they will do.

I am a little sad with how bad the hate has gone, cause we are acting as if us coach potatoes would be able to get more yards per carry lol

I think Foreman is a good example for someone who beat the odds this year (after trying sooo hard). From what I recall Akers surgery went phenomenal so I hope he can also come back to some form in a year or two. I think a change of scenery would help everyone here!

He needs the change of scenery for sure. The Rams are terrible and pretty much packing it in. Add on that he has "philosophical differences" with McVay, I'm not sure he will ever be "their guy" again.

Now is an excellent buy low if you still believe though. In one of my more competitive leagues, an owner has him on the trading block for a cheeseburger. No takers yet.

This reminds me of Fournette and I would caution people of discounting Akers too far because of it. I would definitely take a flier on him for a cheeseburger. Heck, I’d make it a combo meal to “sweeten the pot”. With Henderson just getting cut, I think the Rams are settings Akers up for success down the stretch so they can try and trade him sometime during the offseason.

Not a bad theory, but you really don't have to cut another RB to do that, you could just give Akers the work. Henderson got cut for something other than trying to drum up some interest for Akers in a trade.
