This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Kelce Trade

Postby GoIllini » Tue Nov 08, 2022 10:15 am

If I am able to move Kelce for JT, is it a no brainer? Love me some Kelce, but I'm young enough if I add JT I think my team can compete for title next season.

Based on age, yes but based on what Kelce brings to a lineup...I am not so sure. If you are looking long term, yes, this is a great deal. If you are all in this year and hoping to win a title, Kelce is the way to go.

Run to accept!! Kelce is brilliant but getting the opportunity to get JT is worth it and your RB group looks to be a bit weak behind Barkley, so it's a perfect addition.

Whilst Kelce is a big loss, I really like Dulcich's prospects as a starter going forward.

Appreciate the input. With Chase and Dobbins injured, group is struggling and playoffs are bleak. I am playing for next season, so I went ahead and moved on it. Love idea of having a core of Barkley / JT / Chase & AJ + Hurts. Hoping Dulcich ends up being a solid TE guy and consistent.

I see how everyone but Gator was so quick to say smash accept. Gator was right to pause. There have been elite TEs that stayed elite into their mid-thirties. The way Kelce plays and stays injury free and the lack of grueling blocking he's asked to do makes it possible that he could have several top TE years left after this year.

The X factor is his QB who is just now entering his prime and will continue to elevate everyone in that offense.

I love JT and totally understand making this move - but due to the nature of the RB position I could argue that there may not be a tremendous gap in quality years left between the two, and there may not be a bigger positional advantage right now than Kelce in all of fantasy.

I think it was the right move for a non-contending team... With Kmet and Dulcich, you have 2 young up and coming guys..sure they might not be Kelce BUT they will be TE1 producing guys

WR: Lamb, Pittman, DJM, J.Williams, JSN, Burks, J.Dotson, E.Moore,
TE: Hockenson, Ferguso, Dulcich, Musgrave

TEAM 3:

With the short shelf life of RBs, your boy Kelce might be relevant longer than JT…..

Absolutely a no brainer.

Even if you are not a JT fan, JT has more value than Kelce.
You could probably flip JT for Mark Andrews + Josh Jacobs, if you so desired.

I’d go with JT based on value but Kelce definitely could be better longer than JT. He’s be the best fantasy player over the part decade and he’s not slowing down.
