Happy Overpays

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Happy Overpays

Postby CSteelersWin7 » Mon Aug 22, 2022 7:22 am

So I just completed the following trade and am very happy even though i think most would agree it’s an overpay by at least a 1st. But hey, I got “my guy”, which just makes it more fun imo.

Gave London, Kmet 2024 1st and 2023 2nd
Received Pitts and 2023 4th

What are some of your “happy overpays”.

Honestly, that is one of the better deals I have seen for Pitts from a price standpoint. Congrats on getting your guy!

I overpaid heavily for the rights to Jeudy and Lamb. One has worked out okay and the jury is still out on the other...

I don't think you overpaid in comparison to the current market. The question is whether the trade ages well or not. The Pitts owner in my league wanted McBride and 3 of my 2023 1sts I believe or maybe more than that. I stopped listening after I saw where he was starting. I'd rather ride Ertz/McBride through the gates of hell than ever pay what people want for Pitts. I think I'll have a nice stash in Hurst too. Nice buy for you!

Slam dunk for Pitts. London creating essentially 0 separation from Pac-12 DBs has me terrified for his long term outlook in dynasty. Not a believer in him at all, especially at his rookie ADP. I like Kmet but I'd happily pay that for Pitts in the long run.
