Cameron Brate will be a low end TE1 IF Gronk stays retired.

Re: OTA's/Training Camp Discussion
Eno Benjamin is emerging as an early favorite for the #2 role behind an injury-prone Connor. Could be nothing, could be something.

Re: OTA's/Training Camp Discussion
I still think Williams will be the 3rd down back. If Conner misses time, likely a committee. I'd be trying to use this coach speak to move a marginal player for something, if I could. Maybe package him. Not saying Benjamin won't get any touches, just that I don't think he's a long term producer, and is very replaceable.TTHTD wrote: ↑Fri Jun 24, 2022 12:34 pm Eno Benjamin is emerging as an early favorite for the #2 role behind an injury-prone Connor. Foodie. Well done steak goes in the trash.

Does it matter if he's a long-term producer? Even if you get a season's worth of flex use out of a player it can be a season-saving pickup. Re: OTA's/Training Camp Discussion
I actually liked Eno a fair bit coming out of college. He was a solid receiver and it sounds like his pass protection is coming along. I actually think either Benjamin or Williams are taking a share of this backfield even if Conner stays healthy all year. Anyone buying into Conner’s big contract is likely going to have a bad surprise. If he goes down, I think Benjamin could be a solid flex play. Downsides for Benjamin are that he’s not going to have a lot of big plays (4.57 speed) and he’s not someone I’d want to rely on in short yardage, so that limits his upside a fair bit.
All I Der Is Win - 16 Team IDP League (Pass TD 6pts)

RB - Swift, Hall, Penny, Bigsby, Ford

TE - Okonkwo, Schoonmaker
LB - Brooks, R. Smith, Phillips
DL - Crosby, Allen, Simmons
DB - D. James, Baker, Delpit

Re: OTA's/Training Camp Discussion
I guess my point is move on from him, get something. Trade him, for the value bump he may provide in the off season. That's what I was getting at. I tend to think moving players like that is the way to go. You can always move that value you gained (extra pick, or pick upgrade etc) trading him for a viable, cheap flex option in season IF you need it, and when you need. I can't see Eno Benjamin saving a contenders season, but stranger things have happened, I suppose.TTHTD wrote: ↑Fri Jun 24, 2022 1:06 pmDoes it matter if he's a long-term producer? Have been trying to acquire Eno, but the owner won't do it for a 3rd haha.

can't believe there is actually eno benjamin hype. if anything were to happen it's hard to believe he'd be anything more than a committee guy anyway.

Welcome to the off season. I agree, which is why I say move him if you can get some value for him based off of coach speak about practices in shorts and T shirts.Dynasty DeLorean wrote: ↑Sun Jul 03, 2022 1:35 am can't believe there is actually eno benjamin hype. if anything were to happen it's hard to believe he'd be anything more than a committee guy anyway.

How else are we suppose to build up our "impossible players to trade" bait?Dynasty DeLorean wrote: ↑Sun Jul 03, 2022 1:35 am can't believe there is actually eno benjamin hype. if anything were to happen it's hard to believe he'd be anything more than a committee guy anyway.
Up next. Brandin Cooks will have 1200 yards and 12 TDs this season!
