I'm bias as an owner, but man, he looks fantastic out there. It's early, but if he has a couple more big games, and he will be a top 3 overall dynasty pick (IMO).

Crazy to think what he might do when he ditches his pathetic puny "young man" body and turns into a 22 or 23 year old. Maybe packs on a bit more muscle. Maybe refines his skills a bit more. He clearly needs to do a lot of work on himself.

I mean, I for one, have felt a little bit like I wasted my 1st round pick on him... like a sick feeling gurgling away in my stomach that I'd somehow made the incorrect call on this take... I'm hopeful that with a few more 7 catch 163 yard days, that this terrible feeling will subside.

Most yards by a rookie TE through 6 games:
1. Kyle Pitts (471)
2. Mike Ditka (444)
3. Raymond Chester (372)

I might never recover from wasting this premium 1st round pick, honestly...

Finally remembered what all this pre draft hype reminded me of: Jeremy Shockey.

If Pitts walks into 128 targets in his rookie season like Shockey did..

As a non-owner, but someone who tried really hard to get him in two leagues, I agree. I’d even argue he’s just as if not more valuable than Chase (who I have), but that’s just my own opinion.

Lots of good talk going on in this thread. Figured I'd weigh in. I'm team Pitts... here's my case for him succeeding in the NFL (seeing as that somehow seems to be in question)

I'm also not a believer that he can separate vs top NFL corners. I do think his catch radius at times may make that a mute point, though. So it depends what you mean by covered. I think he can certainly out jump them on well placed passes, but I don't think he's going to consistently beat NFL corners with separation. It will be interesting to see how D's deal with him.

Do you need absolute separation against the league's highest paid CB when you're 6"6 245lbs with soft hands and run a 4.4 forty? What about if you're really good at finding soft zones in coverage... anyway, enquiring minds still apparently want to know...

I held the 1.3 and 1.5 this year and took Chase/Pitts. Two months later, our league voted to move from standard TE scoring to a 1 PPR TE league.

Needless to say, I am a very happy man right now. Especially when you consider I took Guice/Penny at 1.2 and 1.3 in 2018; it set my team back years. I haven’t been to the playoffs since 2016.

Currently 5-1 (maybe 6-1 depending on how tonight goes). Stoked!

FWIW, I tried throwing 3 2022 1sts (one of which will be 1.01/1.02) at a team for Pitts in a TE super premium league and it was a ‘we’re going to keep him’ response. He’s pretty much untouchable at this point.

It would be so hard to trade him in premium, I had Kelce for years in a non premium league and an having an elite player in a position like that is just such a huge advantage.
