Julius Thomas.

I had a startup draft where I completely ignored TE. I tried to trade for one but everyone was holding tight. I had a pretty awesome team sans TE, and was entering the season with some backup I can't remember.

I got Julius on waivers, and he helped me propel my team to the top right away. After two years I was able to sell him for at least a first, if not more. He saved my season, helped me to victory, and gave my team more draft picks to keep dominating with.

This is pretty amazing. Imagine drafting a guy and keeping him while he turns into one of the best fantasy producers of all time.

I would have sold him years ago. :P

Rob Gronkowski.

Took him in the 2nd round of our first ever rookie draft (#20 overall) back in 2010. A great player that helped me win a lot of games. I traded him away during a rebuild and regretted it. Eventually got him back when the pieces were in place and he helped me win a Championship. Dude retired on me so I cut him, and then came back so now he's on someone else's team. I'm working on getting him back, so he can retire on my team...AGAIN...but no luck so far.

Plus dude just seems like a great guy to hang with.

WR: Moss hands down. My overall favorite.
TE: Kelce
… never would have guessed 😊
Im kind of disappointed that I didnt mention Randy Moss. He is my favorite WR of all time.

Randy Moss, Arian Foster, and Steve Smith. If it is just one, it’s Moss for sure.

Ray Rice got me back to back titles in a ESPN family redraft league.

Year 1- I was able to stack Rodgers, Megatron, and Ray Rice. It was pretty epic.

Year 2- I won the 1.1 in the random shuffle and I wanted to take Rice again. There was zero doubt in my mind he was worthy of the 1.1. All the rankings had him around 1.3 or 1.4.

I left that league the following year after my divorce but I left as a Two Time Champ and went out on top. I bet the ex family in laws were not too upset about me leaving. But ultimately my love for Ray Rice is the reason I took Dobbins last year in my dynasty league.

I also need to throw a shout out to Devin Aromashodu. I was decimated by injuries and forced to ride him in 2009 during the playoffs. He is the reason I took the title that year. He caught like 10 for 150 and a TD for me in the finals. The icing on top is he was a throw in player on a trade I made with the guy that lost to me in that final. Was pretty fun off season for me.

Michael Turner for me, he’s easily the guy I’ve made the most value profit from, and he helped me win a championship. I was only in one league at the time, but I can remember buying him before the 2008 season when he was a FA and leaving the Chargers, getting out of Tomlinson’s shadow. I bought him on the cheap, I believe he was a throw in with some picks. He ended up signing with Atlanta and had a monster season, helped me win a championship. I sold him for a monster package that offseason. And then got hurt the next year and missed a lot of time. The owner got frustrated and ended up selling back to me for pennies on the dollar in the offseason. He ended up having a big season the next year for me. So I sold him again for a monster package in that offseason. The following season he started off ok but got hurt in a game. The owner panicked and sold him back to me again at a discount, thinking it was going to be a multi week or season ending injury. I think he only missed one game, and proceeded to tear it up the rest of the way after that. You can see where this is going. I decided to go rebuild, and sold him one more time for a pretty penny. The following year he got hurt again and this time missed a lot of time. He was never the same after that and never reached the same fantasy heights again like he had done with my team. Basically I bought and sold him multiple times at the exact right moments, so when considering favorites, he still stands out in my mind for that reason.

The Jay Cutler won a title for me that Monday night when he was the only player left in the matchup. I thought I was dead, and I should've been as Cutler was terrible that year. Cutler was on fire that one particular game though. It was glorious.

Tomlinson! I started a dynasty league in 2001 and really didn’t know what i was doing. I traded TO for Tomlinson after the draft because I really had a bad draft and didn’t have a good RB.

Looking back did I even win that trade? I went to 6 SBs only won 2 with LT. He was fantasy gold.

I think what separates a favorite fantasy player from a memorable one is when you put in the research yourself, unearth a hidden gem, draft him, and ride him to glory. THAT makes a favorite player in my mind.

I've been playing since 1992 and early on I scouted Ricky Watters who missed his rookie season with a broken foot but was having a great camp the next year. I draft him in the 14th round and he is a major cog for me in multiple championships.

The other RB I loved was Marshawn Lynch. I saw him tear up the Minnesota Golden Gophers when he was at Cal and then despite getting off to a slow start with the Bills helped me win a title in 2008. Then when I was in a dynasty startup in 2011 I snag Lynch despite being nicked up in preseason but he projects to be the man on his new team the Seahawks. That was a glorious 4 years where I had him coupled with Matt Forte.

Antonio Freeman was a favorite of mine also. and later, Donald Driver. However Randy Moss was a stud. I played in a league where one starting roster spot was "Rookie" had to be a rookie but not a kicker. So I get Moss as a rookie and his 17TD were solid gold. Still play in that redraft league today so Trevor Lawrence will likely go #1 overall ahead of CMC. Makes for an interesting draft.

1997 I'm playing in 5 redraft leagues and end up with Jerome Bettis in all 5. The Bus rolls for 1200 yards and 11 TD and I get to 3 Fantasy Bowls winning 2.

The list could go on with over 120 fantasy team seasons under my belt in 29 years

I've been playing Fantasy Football since 2007, but my favourite player has been - by far - Lamar Jackson in his 2019 MVP season.

I had full exposure to him that year, grabbing him in Round 10 of one Money League Redraft, $2 in an Auction Money League, had him for my main dynasty league after drafting him as the QB1 (over Baker) in 2018... I was all-in.

There were those on this site that called me an absolute looney for suggesting he might average over 80 rushing yards a game in that 2018/19 offseason. "Do you know how ridiculous that would be?" Yes. Yes I did.

And Lordy me, that 2019 season was ridiculous. From the opening kickoff in Miami (5 TDs) to "Let's Go For It" in Seattle, to the SNF downtrailing of the Patriots in Foxborough on national TV, to destroying the Rams on MNF... it was a joy to watch, from start to finish - and in every league I had him, I took the big money. Glorious stuff - and long may he reign.

It seemed like after every game I'd see a Tweet with something like:
"Lamar Jackson is the [first, youngest, etc.] player to [do X and Y] in the history of the NFL."
He was insane. I hope he keeps proving that one dude wrong who said something like "he should switch to RB" or something dumb like that.
