Dallas has an out in 2022 with Amari for only 6mil dead money and an out in 2023 with Zeke for 6.5mil. I think both will be gone at that point.

Is Dak/Lamb the top fantasy QB/WR duo in the league for the next 3 years?

I should still have Mahomes/Hill, Rodgers/Adams (if Rodgers is still playing), Wilson/Metcalf (if Wilson stays put), Allen/Diggs, and maybe Murray/Hopkins ahead of them. Not so much based on talent, but still lots of mouths to feed in the Dallas offense.

Hello, you rang - I'm here to do the maths so you don't have to!

Cowboys got off cheap this year, apparently it's only a 22.2 million dollar hit in year one (likely thanks to the creative accounting for that monster 66 million signing bonus)

The Cap is 180 million as we currently know it... Dak + Amari + Zeke = 57.9 million in cap hit for 2021 - by my calculation. (22.2 for Dak, 13.7 for Zeke, 22 for Amari)

We don't know the structure for the coming 3 years yet, but if the hit is only 22.2 in 2021 then you can bet it's gonna get pretty spicey going forward - especially in 2022 when Amari and Zeke are going to have hits of 22 and 16 milly respectively.

Amari has the potential out clause after the 2021 season, and Zeke's has an out after his 2022 season. Hope that helps.

Russ/DKM could challenge.
Age is a factor, but I wouldn't count out Rodgers/Adams
Herbert/KAllen is a darkhorse in this race.
But, yeah, my money is on Dak/Lamb

Yeah, but then all current QBs aren’t taking home $40M/year. I don’t think that DAL extending that kind of deal to hopefully win the NFC East a couple of times in that 4 years. Now it gets that much tougher with so much of the cap committed to one guy, and I’m not sure he’s a transcendent enough talent to carry a team that is going to have to have decided weak spots.

It's a lot, but some team was going to give it to him. Dallas didn't want to start over at QB and he looked great last year.

Dak is my QB2 in dynasty and this solidified it for me. He has the core you want around him and was putting up monster numbers while still improving at age 27. I might get flack for it as some will have Lamar, Murray, Allen, Herbert and Watson there as well but on a ppg basis Dak was exceeding them last year and was slinging multiple 400 yard games (plus has a safe rushing floor like most of the guys above).

I think it not it only slams the door on trying to get Ceedee or Dallas skill position peeps, I also think it'll slam any buying chance for Dak.

What form does Dak return to? Will he be more of a pocket QB or will he still take those gambles on his legs? You have to wonder if mentally he's slightly changed? Cold weather games are going to be a factor (obv not in DAL, but potential away games).

Fixed. Wont tolerate this blatant Amari Cooper disrespect this forum perpetuates. Cooper was THE WR 1 in fantasy before Dak got hurt. Lamb better learn to play outside before he can take the crown from Coop.

Appreciated sir! Yeah going to be hard to be competitive with 1/3rd of your cap tied up in three players (and a little over 1/6th tied up in two of the least impactful (or maybe least worthy of big contracts would be a better descriptor) positions outside of special teams)

Paying QB's market is just the evolution of the game. The reality is the Cap will be going up big time going forward as they add a 17th game.

The Cowboys are great at the cap due in part because Jones is very cash rich. He also puts an auto accelerator that he can convert salary into bonus dollars at the teams discretion. The reason his cap is relatively very small this year is because there are two voidable years in this deal in effect making it a 6 year deal.

Everybody wins. The Player gets his money the team saves a ton to attract other players or take care of their own.

The fact Jerry is one of a few owners that can pay huge cash up front makes it tolerable for him and the players love it. Dak gets to claim he got the highest bonus EVER and his deal is $5 million less per year than Mahomes.

The team, the fans, Dak, and the fantasy owners that own Dak and his weapons should be very happy today!

The cash angle is one that I've never really thought about. A hidden advantage to the big market or just very rich owners.

That's one thing that's helped my Vikings organization since Zygi Wilf took over. Ol' Red McCombs was a penny pincher.
Not all that counts can be counted. Not all that can be counted counts.
