Doing derby style for picking draft spot in rookie and startup. I got 4th pick of my slot.
Would you pick at 1.3 in startup and get someone like Murray, Watson, or Herbert
Or 1.2 in rookie? Sucks missing Tlaw. Not sure I’m sold on Fields or Lance. Non-snake. So could have a good WR at 2.2
12 team.
1.3 in SU or 1.2 in rookie? SF PPR

I would be drafting at 1.03 in the startup very easily over 1.02 rookie pick. Each of those established QBs are worth multiple rookie 1sts. I'd be taking Watson of those 3 without hesitation.

You like Watson most out of Allen, Murray, Herbert & Dak?krtbuckeye wrote: ↑Thu Feb 11, 2021 9:29 am I would be drafting at 1.03 in the startup very easily over 1.02 rookie pick. Each of those established QBs are worth multiple rookie 1sts. I'd be taking Watson of those 3 without hesitation.

Is the startup also non snake? If it is then clearly you take 1.03, if not then it is really not just 1.03 SU vs 1.02 rookie as it would be in a trade, it is SU 1.11, 2.02 and rookie 1.02 and 2.02 vs SU 1.03, 2.10 and rookie 1.10, 2.10. With quite a few good foundational QB along with the top few RBs you should be getting 2 studs worth quite a bit still close to the turn on the startup and your rookie value is way more.
Personally I would go outside the box here though and count out the young qbs inwpuld consider as cornerstone pieces below the top 2 that you can't get but in that next tier and would go as late as I could and still get one of them. This is probably somewhere around 6/7 depending how you rank those guys, this gives you a quite a bit better 2nd round option, possibly being able to lock up your qb2 or at least getting a skill position stud and then moves you up in the draft to where assuming no qb falls to you you can likely get either one of the top couple wrs or a top rb

The startup is still snake right?
Assuming it is, I would take the rookie slot. Lots of talent at the turn still.

Re: 1.3 in SU or 1.2 in rookie? SF PPR
I'd take the rookie slot.
While it's nowhere near 100% fair.. the snake aspect of the SU draft tries to balance out the value of each slot. So, in theory, you should get the same value with the 1.01 slot as you would with the 1.12 slot..
Again, the SU is not 100% fair.. but the non-snaking of the rookie draft is 100% UNFAIR. The guy drafting 1.01 has a huge value edge over the guy drafting at 1.12.
