He could be a good buy low in the 2021 off-season, but for 2020 I'd pretty much avoid at all costs
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=198325&hilit=taylor

His rookie season is happening exactly as expected. He needs a solid year to learn how to do all the things expected of an NFL running back. The Colts have a smart coaching staff. It's up to Taylor to work and study hard, and based on interviews I think he has the tools to do that.

He's a buy low or hold.
Gotta say, for all the bleep you got for your takes in that thread it looks like you were pretty accurate.

Dobbins/Swift/CEH have looked ready. JT, Akers have struggled out of the gates.

Does Mack factor in at all next year or is he done?

Anything is possible but, Achilles injury + UFA = unlikely he will be a factor.

I've heard the opposite... The injury makes it more likely he comes back on a prove it deal.

Mack has always been underrated IMO but regardless how he heals I don't see the Colts resigning him. I believe he is gong to be an UFA next year if memory serves.

This is a great reason to be holding JT hoping he develops into a 3 down back.

I think people would take him developing into a 2 down back for now. Although the one bright spot for JT so far this season has been his receiving ability, so I expect if he can take over the lead role in the backfield the 3rd down snaps will follow.

Hahaha; You're probably right!

Glad I drafted CEH and Swift everywhere I had the chance.

Ya I liked JT a lot, but glad I went CEH with all of my 1.01 shares, and Swift with all of my 1.03s.

It’s hard to prove anything when you get 11, 6, 7 carries a game, that’s what he’s gotten the past three games. The Colts are winning though so I doubt it changes but they aren’t doing him any favors, that’s for sure. Plus, their o-line hasn’t played nearly as well this season, add that to Taylor not performing as well as thought and Reich rotating 3 RBs and here we are, he’s really only usable in leagues with deep starting requirements. At least that’s what I’m doing, leaving him on the bench in most of my leagues where I own him.

The line hasn't run block as well this season, but Taylor just hasn't looked good overall. He's not getting carries because of that.

There are plenty of highly drafted RBs that just don't pan out. Perhaps he'll add himself to that list.

There’s no doubt that he doesn’t look as good as advertised but I think his situation that was supposed to be so great, hasn’t been very good at all. I know most people say draft talent over situation and while I mostly agree, situation matters and Taylor’s hasn’t been what it was cracked up to be so far. I’m still holding though because I’m not going to sell low, I think his value will come back up at some point. Personally, I haven’t been that impressed with not only Taylor, but not very impressed with CEH, Dobbins or Akers. D.Swift has probably had the best rookie season (out of the top 5 RBs) but it’s still so early in their careers.

Remember the 2009 rookie draft? Knowshon & Beanie Wells were the top 2 ranked RB prospects. I saw them go first in 2009 rookie drafts, 2009 startup drafts, and even 2010 startup drafts. I even saw Shonn Greene move up by the end of 2009 and into 2010. That didn't stop LeSean McCoy from being the best of bunch.

History repeats, just the names change.

I don't have an opinion either way on Taylor. I only own him in 1 redraft league. But I wouldn't be surprised if he goes Knowshon on us. And I wouldn't be surprised if he breaks out eventually.

Good luck to those who hold him....
