Sucks for him this year, but that's for another thread.
Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

Don’t care if he signed in KC, Bell’s last two teams let him go. I do not think the teams are the problem here.

So Gaskin has been pretty good lately... I'm less concerned about Bell and more concerned about Breida. He's been working his way towards 50% touches the last 2 weeks. Anyone else think this is just turning into a split backfield?

Breida touches per game: 5, 8, 3, 6, 10. Not sure Id call that a trend. Even less so if you look at it as a percent of Gaskin's touches: 38%, 61%, 11%, 46%, 47%.

In one of my 12 team Superflex leagues, I traded Ito Smith/my 2021 2nd for Myles Gaskin. I was short on RBs, having Ekeler on that roster and I think Gaskin will get enough touches to keep putting up solid numbers. I also own Matt Breida, so that was the other reason I made this trade. I’m currently 3-2 and I think I’ll make the playoffs but don’t have much depth on this team, so probably not a strong contender.

Thats as a percent of Gaskin's touches. So 2:1 share, not 1:1 like you were saying. It also doesn't really look like theres a significant trend towards Breida.

Ahh math is hard lol

I just saw the last 2 weeks jump from week 3 and was wondering if they were trying to get more backs involved

Yeah looks like week 3 was just an aberration. Breida got 10 this past week but I think you can write that off as game script playing with a big lead given that Gaskin got 21 touches.

I felt like I stole Jordan Howard this offseason. I have multiple shares of Gaskin and literally just the one of Howard that I got for nothing, but yeah.

I do think that you gotta sell both before the trade deadline. After the season, these guys are just assumed that they’re going to lose their job to a draftee or FA by most of the community and it’s hard (not impossible) to get value for them, especially in sharper leagues. If you hang on to them through the season, I think you have to hope they thread the needle and the team doesn’t bring anybody in.

Miami already flirted with Bell. Consider this your significant other getting a text message from a coworker at 2 AM. Maybe they’re not tagging each other yet, but soon enough they’ll be shagging somebody else.

I'm on board with this, but haven't found anyone valuing him highly in my league. I'll hold for the depth at a position of scarcity this season knowing full well his value could evaporate, rather than offload for a 3rd.
