Best thing that could have happened for him, now he gets paid to get away from that inept organization. Jay is certainly no Belichick, but he was far from being the biggest or primary problem in Washington. I think he did a decent job there all things considered, now he's free.

Tough situation for Haskins ... Head coach didn’t want you. Now, you have the added pressure of the coach getting fired, and you’re thrown into starting role with a coaching staff in turmoil and limited preparation.

Agree that it's not ideal, but I'd still have to think they want to see what they have in him and give him a chance to start this year. Whereas, I'm not sure that would have happened with Gruden. Right or wrong, just think that the new staff starts him at some point this season.

Organization is a trainwreck. They need a complete overhaul on offense. Unfortunately, nobody trusts Bruce Allen to do his job well and why would any good coach go there to be handicapped by Allen and Snyder?

It's really difficult to project this team optimistically going forward until we see Haskins play and who the coach will be going forward.
