John Brown to the Packers could have been so awesome. They’ve never had a player quite like him.

Yeah. There were a bunch of great fantasy spots Smoke could've gone. But he's 29, and needed to maximize this contract. I don't blame him.

I can get that the Bears feel that Howard is not a great fit for the new system - just seems odd to let a guy go who has been at least reasonably productive during his rookie contract a year early for a guy who has not shown he can be productive & healthy for a long period. Ah well doesnt really matter to me - I am not a supporter of either player really - just trying to make sense of it. :)

And now Patterson gets 5m guaranteed to join the Bears. :surprised:

Browns agreed to terms with TE Demetrius Harris, formerly of the Chiefs, on a two-year contract.
GM John Dorsey was in Kansas City with Harris. The 6'7/230 tight end has definite skills but had been stuck behind Travis Kelce with the Chiefs. Unfortunately, he now appears to be going to Cleveland to play behind David Njoku.

Great real life move; if you had Harris stashed for real life, sorry.
