Picks 1.02, 1.07, 1.08 and 1.11 NEED Advice

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Picks 1.02, 1.07, 1.08 and 1.11 NEED Advice

Postby Ktmjelde » Wed Jun 06, 2018 11:54 am

Well, I made a lot of moves this off season to secure some needed RB help. I have 4 first round picks and need some advice. Below is what i am thinking.

1.02 - Guice or Penny
1.07 - Freeman or Johnson (assuming RoJo doesnt fall)
1.08 - Moore or Freeman/Johnson
1.11 Sutton/Ridley/Miller/Kirk

Alot of this assuming the 8 RBS go pretty much in order.

Let me know your thoughts!

Seems fairly solid. Just be open to all opportunities based on how draft progresses. For example, I have seen Moore drafted as early as 1.6 and as late as 1.11, and Sony Michel drop to 1.7.

I would probably prioritize Ridley ahead of Sutton. I don't see why you would draft Miller/Kirk at 1.11, and can probably trade down if you are targeting them.

Pretty much in order? What frisking order is that? 2-5 (sometimes 6) is a toss up on the rbs. May as well draw them from a hat

Any possibility of using 8 and 11 to get pick 4, 5, or 6? I would try for that

Rank your top 11 and go from there. I'd take Guice over Penny at 1.02.

Here is my preferences for the picks you have.

1.02 - Guice or Penny (These two are very close, I would recommend trading this pick for the 1.03 [acquire a nice asset in the process] and grabbing whoever is left there.)
1.07 - Freeman or Johnson (This is also very close, Johnson is probably the better pick for a dynasty team because of age but don't expect much of an impact this year. Year 2 he will probably be a 3 down back.)
1.08 - Moore or Freeman/Johnson (Assuming you have already grabbed two running backs in this draft, I'm going Moore here. I think he's going to be the #1 in Carolina as soon as this season at some point)
1.11 - Sutton/Ridley/Miller/Kirk (Not all of these guys will be here at 1.11 but if Ridley is there I'm taking him.)
Dynasty Team #1 1/2 PPR, 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 2 Flex, 1 TE, 1 DEF, 1 K

Dalvin and the Chipmunks

TE: Kittle, Ebron

Dynasty Team #2 1/2 PPR, 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 4 Flex

QB: Lamar Jackson, Cousins
RB: Akers, Hall, Sanders, Spiller, Hines, White, Wilson, Z. White
WR: DK, Chase, Woods, Shenault, Gallup, G. Wilson, Hardman, W. Robinson

Since the second tier of guys after Barkley is so close together, you might try to trade down from 1.02. Maybe aim for 1.03 or 1.04. Pick up some extra value and still get an RB from that tier.

Take Guice at 2. Im very happy I did over Penny in my rookie draft last weekend.

At 7 if any of Chubb/Michel/Rojo/Freeman/Penny are there take one.

At 8 if the RBs mentioned above are gone grab Moore.

At 11 Im a big fan of Miller/Ridley here.

So I think (I am sure many others do as well) this draft has a clear top 6...Barkley then (in some order) Guice, Michel, Chubb, Penny, RoJo. Two questions...anyway to package up all your picks to move up to 1? I highly doubt it, but just curious. Second question, after you take RB at 1.2, could you trade 1.7, 1.8, 1.11 to get 1.3, 1.4, or 1.5? Then you get your two favorite RBs (or at least two of the top 5). It seems RB is clearly your neediest position and I think Guice and Penny or Michel or Chubb (next year) could turn it around.
