I got offered a 1st round pick for him in one of my leagues yesterday... and I passed. I expect he'll continue as their top RB next year, though, Thompson will still handle a lot of the pass catching duties. I bet a lot of people here would jump at a 1st for Perine, though.

I just traded Perine and Robert Woods for Allen Robinson to a competing team. A lot of competing owners with a need at RB would be willing to pay up for someone who's a near-lock for 20+ touches.

I probably would have taken a 2nd for Perine, but I think a 1st wouldn't be out of the question.

Most Perine owners spent a late 1st or early 2nd on him just a few months ago. Now he’s finally getting a bellcow workload and seems to be making the most of it. I would imagine it’d take a pick in the 1.06-1.09 range to land him now.

For the rest of the year he’s going to get the vast majority of the touches. Not sure what the future holds for him, but if you need a RB for the run, he’s a good option.

Little surprised late 1sts have been turned down for him. Just don’t see him bringing in much more.

As someone already mentioned, I'm not sure how you could expect to buy him for less than what he cost his original owner in draft capital now that he's the RB1 of the team. Sure, he may not having staying power in that role, but for now it's his and he's looked good enough.

Paying a 1st for Perine seems like a lost pick to me. Only time it might be worth it is if you are contending this year and need a back. Then a late 1st might be worth it, but long term you're probably in trouble.

I traded in season Gore for Perine and a 3rd.. now that I have Perine.. I don't really like him.. as I just don't think he is great, but getting 20 touches a game makes him pretty damn valuable to a contender.. I agree with the mid-1st is prolly the right value.. If offered a late first.. I can't say yes to that deal, as if Perine continues to play well given this load, you have to think WAS will stay with him and Thompson as their pair going forward.. so he'll have pretty solid value vs an unknown. But that's just me. (That said.. working on a trade where it's Perine and an early mid second for Marlon Mack and a late first.. I feel like that would be correct value to me.. as Mack is "better" but who knows when he'll get the opportunity that Perine has right now, as Gore seems to not age.) Hopefully that helps!

This post came at a great time. Been shopping for RB depth for my playoff contender. Early 2nd + late 3rd was turned down.
