Also I prefer the dynasty mode in NCAA that features different recruiting strategies as well, plus its fun to try and take a smaller school to a National Championship. Bushy has a good strategy though of buying earlier versions of the games for cheaper, since we play dynasties anyway, it doesn't matter as much what the player stats say for this year if we plan on playing through several years anyway.

I've not played Madden for a few years after realising that being really good on the easiest setting but total rubbish on the next setting up made me worse than a trained monkey, but I've been getting the urge this year just for franchise mode. Maybe 2010 is the answer.

So how's Madden 11 Dan? I haven't picked it up yet, but I might change my mind and get it with your stamp of approval.

Now it's out... what are people' thoughts?

I think it's alright this year, not much improvements. Can see my self getting bored with it before the end of the season. Seems like NCAA 2011 is the game to keep.

Very similar to Madden 10. It is a good game but there aren't enough new features to really blow me away (yet). I will say the animation is better and the player movements are much more fluid and realistic which makes the gameplay even better

Dan how's the running game? What turned me off about Madden was the difficulty establishing the running game against the A.I. Running out the clock suddenly got much harder in Madden 09. I think it had something to do with the Madden IQ thing.

I'm with you here, in last years Madden game I would routinely get about 400 yards passing and about 10 yards rushing, and that was even when playing against friends. :wtf:

The running game can be a little rough. I still find it easier to pass but I think it is slightly better than last year's version in this aspect. Seems like short yardage is a chore but breaking off 20+ yarder in low pressure situations is easy.
