I believe it was the owners who wanted the cap in the first place. I don't feel bad for them. They caused this situation.

I think the salary cap is a fantastic thing and I certainly hope it comes back with the next CBA.

I think they will! 4.24 will learn that he will not get Peyton Manning money(soon to be the highest paid player) and the Titans will have to agree that they will have to pay him significantly more than right now.

The Nashville Tennessean has confirmed a Profootballtalk.com report that Chris Johnson did, indeed, work out at the Titans' facility this week.

Why Johnson would lie about it is unclear. The report from Titans beat writer Jim Wyatt cites multiple sources. Coach Jeff Fisher, currently on vacation, did not return to meet with Johnson. This was believed to be C.J.'s first trip to Baptist Park since the end of the 2009 season. "I said I didn't work out there," he reiterated to Wyatt late Thursday. The Titans and the player rep for Chris Johnson are reportedly working on a contract compromise that would ideally get the star tailback to report to training camp on time.
The Titans certainly aren't prepared to meet Johnson's expectations of $30 million in guarantees, but they're at least trying to get creative with a "short-term solution" that would give him a "smaller bump in pay."
