Justin Forsett

Postby Yogurt » Tue Mar 31, 2015 1:28 pm

I'm thinking of offering my 2.03 pick for Justin Forsett. Good value, or way too much? Forsett finished as the 7th ranked RB in our league, and 34th ovr. We do standard non-PPR scoring.

It all depends on the Forsett owner. If he is competing there is no way he's accepting this deal I think. If he's not he'll probably be much more likely to accepting it. I will say that right now Forsett's ADP is around the 1.04. Probably a guy who will be hard to acquire at a price you think is reasonable

The Forsett owner also has Jamal Charles, LeVeon Bell, L Murray, CJ Anderson, and Monterey Ball. So he's stacked and I know he's interested in moving Forsett.

1.04 is a typo right?

The 1.04 ADP is around 32 where as Forset's ADP is at 129, that's late 2nd territory.

What ADP info are you using? Here's what I used to get that: http://dynastyfootballwarehouse.com/adp ... artup-adp/

Also could I get your ADP info please? :) I'd like to have as many sources as possible

On that site, Forsett is being taken at 5.10 or 54 overall, Amari Cooper is being taken at 5.02 and 48 overall with the #3 rookie off the board. The #4 rookie off the board is Kevin White at 6.10 or 67

That ADP info is from right here at DLF. I don't know if I could trust a site that ranks Forsett and Amari Cooper that closely

Ah ok. I generally don't use ADP for rookies for this reason exactly. It varies too much from one site to the next

Don't see the 2.03 as an overpay in the least. He's proven on that team, they re-signed him, he has very little wear and tear and now will be playing the Forte role in a Trestman offense. What are you getting at 2.03 other than a shot at somebody younger, unproven and with a lot of question marks? Even though s 10 teamed your squad looks like it can contend, and Forte will likely have a much greater impact on your team than an unproven RB.

That being said, there's probably no rush, and you could likely extract more value out of your 2.03 as you get closer to the draft.

Only recently started playing dynasty, but I feel like many overvalue youth. I'd gladly trade my 2.03 for Forsett assuming I'm a contending team this year. I'd rather have a couple of pretty solid years from a veteran over a rookie who may or may not produce more 3 years down the line.

I wouldn't give the 2.03 for Forsett until after the draft. I want to see what BAL does at RB first. They need a RB, but they also need a lot everywhere on offense.

Part of my pause in trading the 2.03 for Forsett right now in OPs league is that it's non-ppr. In PPR I'd feel a little safer because if BAL drafts a RB fairly high, there's still a decent chance that Forsett handles passing down work. With Tresman at OC, I think there will be a lot of passes going to RBs.

I'd also wait for the draft, Baltimore drafts a RB and Forsett is cheaper, they don't and Forsett stays the same because he is old!
